I'm not in the dental field right now but have been doing a lot of research on it. However, I have been in college for almost 4 years just taking general courses and the classes that are hardest are usually for the subjects you are weakest with so if you're determined to be a dentist, push yourself to study extra hard on those courses (math, science, biology). That will be the beginning to getting your Bachelor of Science degree. I have "heard" that getting into dental school is really competitive because there aren't that many schools in the whole U.S. that have a Dental School and there are a lot of applicants. Depending where you live, speaking spanish or another language can actually help you get in due to the lack of diversity. The estimated cost for Dental school is $200,000. All of this is just based on my research and the things I have heard from people pursuing Dentistry. Good Luck and go for it!!! |
