after reading almost all of these threads... i feel discouraged.
it's hard to get into pharmacy. they mark the essay strictly making hundreds of applicants fail. however in dental hygiene they only accept 26 students a year.. to get in one must have high GPA.. back to where i really live i used to be a pharmacy student for a year and i love the program but now that we moved here in winnipeg i got so lost... seems like my life doesn't have directions anymore.... |

Granted, there are more dental hygienists needed across Canada, but there are also far more hygienists unemployed in Canada. Dont limit yourself to pharmacy, try doing this with other healthcare professions. Do your thorough research now and save yourself from heartaches and headaches later. Dental hygiene should be at the bottom of the barrel because of the enormous amount of grads from Ontario affecting the job shortage all across Canada. Dont focus province wide, focus nationwide. Unemployed hygienists WILL compete for jobs in Manitoba. |

I did not take physics in high school so I am only limited to these fields: Pharmacy, Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Dietetics, Health Sciences and Textile Sciences. There are a lot of nursing graduates in here too.. however in the other programs I mentioned, I did not do a research yet. Thank you for your advice. |
