Iknow... what a mean thing to say..but the truth of the matter is, and the wanna-be hygienists should take note, is that their life and lively-hood is controlled by the dentists because they are the ones that hire so not only are there no benefits to this job, but they can choose the more attractive hygienists because they can!

It is an unfortunate situation for the regular looking people...Such is the life of the R.D.H's....so we need to think of our "outside" look as well as what really counts...our experience and knowledge to benefit ourselves and the practices we are able to be a part of now...best foot forward , overall. GL to all , but not the .....Dr.'s who think and act like the one mentioned above...

RUDE! Sounds like he wants some ditzy cover-girl with sub-standard skills working for him instead of somebody who is intelligent and has outstanding clinical skills and is good with patients. Hope his liability insurance is paid up!!

They CAN and DO choose girls based on their looks many times rather than their skills. I know a hygienist who braggs on getting hired because she flaunts her "girls" at the interview. Says it's worked every time. I'd be ashamed but she gets good jobs always. Sounds like he's an idiot to me. And a perv!
