Myra RDH in Toronto, Ontario 40 months ago	Libby RDH in Burlington, Ontario said: The best site to help determine what schools are worthwhile and the ones that haven't reached the standard in dental hygiene education is the CDAC at www.cda-adc.ca The schools that could not even attain the very basic Program Status for Accreditation in 2008 are the Aurora Dental College, Canadian Business College, Huron College and London College. London is already gone, another has already stopped its hygiene program and the other two will soon be out of business. In this economy you can not afford to take a chance by giving your tuition to these schools because the risk is they are likely to go out of business. Another 5 schools were denied the final program accreditation this year, you can find them on the same list, that has to tell you something about the quality of education at these places. Keep away from non accredited schools, there are enough accredited programs in the GTA to choose from, don't play around with your money, play it safe! Add GYC to the list of 4 schools above. Xincon College and some others even if the do not have their accredition status the schools do not live off of one program only.
