I suggest you contact the ODHA I believe they have some information that you might find useful.

We have our own dental hygiene practice and love it. The CDHA has numerous courses and resorces available to answer some of your questions and I would recommend the RDH forum as there are many private practitioning hygienists online that could offer advice. First step is a business plan...

I think it is amazing how the profession is becoming more independant. Do you think it is worth it to open up a private dental hygiene practice?
I tried to browse through the DH forums, but was not successful in finding a discussion on this topic.
