I have two facilities that need experienced DON's. Both are laid back environments. They need someone who has a proven method of staff rentention. They also need someone who can handle island life. The parent company is smaller than some, and only operates in the Pacific Islands. They are stable and sound.

UPDATE - these positions are still open. We recently helped the parent company find a new Regional Nursing Operations Specialist. These opportunities are great for the right person. The income and benefit potential are very competitive to mainland positions, relative to cost of living changes.

I have done Executive Searches that have ranged from $85,000 salary + bonuses to $97,500 salary + bonuses for SNF Director of Nursing. Everyone is aware that cost of living is much higher in Hawaii, but each island is slightly different, as well. I would suggest that you view as much info on the general area in which you would be living if you worked there. There are salary comparison programs available on many websites. |
