Director of Nursing search - Northeastern Pennsylvania - Relocation Assistance provided

Please let me know if you or someone you know may be interested in exploring a Director of Nursing position.

The position is located in the Northeastern PA area.

We would also consider an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who is ready for the next step in their career.

The successful candidate MUST have the following skills:

• RN license with a strong knowledge of Federal and State regulations.

• Effective leadership skills focused on engaging employees in the process of implementing change in the organization through effective communication of clearly defined goals. Would like to see at least 2 years experience in a DON role, or combined 3-5 years experience as a DON/ADON

• Knowledge of LTC regulations, maintain continuing education related to LTC regulation change and ability to translate those regulations into written facility policies. Experience with LTC survey process and creation, implementation, submission of required state plan of corrections.

• High level of clinical hands on expertise and ability to act as a resource/educator to subordinates. Experience with Quality Assurance and improvement processes.

• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, ability to maintain a calm and logical approach to problem resolution. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to shape a vision/plan for improvement, create commitment to that vision with peers/subordinates, build a plan of execution, provide resources/education to involved staff, hold people accountable for achieving their defined responsibilities.
