Hi Ron,
Would you be interested in picking up RV trailers and delivering? Part time work only when we have trailers going out. Do you have a vehicle (truck)? Or do you know anyone who might be interested if you are not available?
Thanks,
Tracy

Well as "BIGFOOT" says they hire you then have you go to GA and go thru 4 days of hell wondering if you have a job! I would say half of the class was sent home for reasons that should have been discovered before they left home! Main reason not to go there is they cater to teams they also put all the good miles on the trains, spent many a day hauling freight to the rail yards. Took them over 5 hours to find you an empty trailer went to sleep waiting for an empty when I woke they had taken load away because I didn't respond to their every whim dont know when your suppose to sleep! I could go on and on

Hello. I have finally obtained my cdl class a permit and i was looking through this page about back grounds and i was woundering if any one on here could tell me if there are trucking companies out there that will take some one with a non conviction on there back groung? I dont have the cleanest record but i dont have anything against it for the past three yrs except for failure to use a turn signal. Will that help me not get a job? Im just sick and tired of dead end go no were jobs and crappy pay, and bosses telling you i PROMISE to PAY THIS MUCH and at THIS TIME, and never do. Is there any good advise out there that can help me at least get started in the right direction for trying to get a carrier started for me in the trucking industry? A little info about me before i go and not trying to waste any bodys time. Ever since i watched smokey and the bandit as a kid its always been something that i wanted to do. Even when i was growing up every one told me to GO GET YOUR CDL IF YOU WANT TO MAKE SOME KIND OF MONEY IN THIS WORLD. I have tryed to avoid it untill now but it now looks like im gunna have to follow that dream of mine. i have wayed most of the pros and cons of driving but its better then freezing your ass off in the winter. any suggestions to get started with my future? please let me know. Thanx, Mikey

David Scurlock in Eden Prairie, Minnesota said: I was a CDL driver for 10 years, find a local truck stop, and pick
up some of those magazines on truck driver employeers, if you are new, and you have a perfect driving record and background, it would be fair easy to contact a driving company and ask for their training, you normally have to sign some type of contract , but do not think this is easy work, being new, you will be away from home for very long periods, you will be isolated, and alone, and driving countless hours, if you got your truck loaded at 6PM, do you think you could drive all night for a rush delivery , you will hear a lot of it, this is a HOT LOAD, you have to be there... and one wrech can end your career, if you kill someone and its your fault, prepare for jail, and DUI now or later, your career is instantly dead.

if you are new, even running a red light could hinder you. to get into a training program, you have to have a PERFECT DRIVING RECORD , AND BACKGROUND CHECK , and if you lie about it and think you got away from it, and you end up in training, they will find it in all the checks they do, they will fire you on the spot, and your paying for bus or airfaire back home.

Wrong, You do NOT have to have a PERFECT driving record. up to 3 traffic tickets under 15mph in most cases and NO DUI's! There many many places that will train you. Stevens Transport has great training reviews and you will be on a contract with them for 3 years at $26.84 a week to pay them back. No you do not have to stay with them for 3 years but if you leave you will have a loan to pay back still.

Glad to see you are thinking of renting to pass the test. Once you have contact crst trucking. You will still have to train but will get paid. If you luck out like I did I was hired, first trip was in a white out blizzard in mm. And Wisconsin. Meant MN. Will never forget, was 35 and now 56

Getting certified is a good ideal, however you may want to call Penske or Ryder and see if they will rent you a truck. I have heard that they will not rent Class A vehicles to individuals. So do your research before investing. Check out our website www.cdlrentaltx.com , there are some links on it that will assist you with getting started in a trucking career. Good Luck

I currently go to college for automotive technology but I would like to begin a decent paying career to get by. I'm not going to beg a person to think good of me and I have developed a very good work ethnic in my upcomings since my mistakes. Hello, I currently have my CDL class A permit and I'm looking for a Truck Owner who would like to let me join him on some trips. I can drive due to prior proof showing I have recent experience working for other trucking companies and have already held a Class A CDL license. I am asking you to take me to the DMV or another place I am aware of to obtain my CDL. Pay is discussible, I'm very reliable, dependable, and actually a good driver is it someone out there who can help me or steer me in a good direction to go?
