Hello everyone, Im new to this group, but definately hope to pick each and everyone of your brains from time to time.. I am a soldier at this time, I work as a heavy equipment operator for the Army, I have one more trip to Iraq to get through, and then Im hanging it up.. I want to start a dumptruck business, small at first one to two trucks and then expand later on. What is the best way of me to do this, I am starting this planning process early, I am under contract until Feb. of 2010.. I have many many questions, but the main one is where do i start?

Trucker Lady in Bullhead City, Arizona said: mjalex34 in Lafayette : please call me @ 928-234-4042. YES you can make good money with dump trucks, but you have to keep them on the road and working.

I am looking to start a dump truck business and looking for "tips and advice" on how to do it right as a contractor and bid on jobs. From reading the board, most say it is a "slow" time of year. Any Feedback.....Thanks!

the only problem with word of mouth is that nine times out of ten most of the jobs are already hand down by other subcontractors which minimizes your earnings. the objective is to become a prime contractor so you can earn a lot more.
