Dee in North Ridgeville, Ohio said: Thanks Wanda - will look into it. Hi Dee, I also highly recommend Dr. Edelemans physics course. If you are seeking RDCS it will be way worth the money to attend the adult echo review course that is done by David Adams. You will get 10 times your money back even with your brain tied behind your back. These guys are great. I passed both exams the first time back in 1994. I am retaking exam because I did NOT maintain my active status because I have been working in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology. Big mistake. Dont do that. Always keep your CME's up to date. Anyway its been good reviewing and Echocardiography is always a great field to work in. Good luck..... |

Barbara in Rhodesdale, Maryland said: Echo is the hardest of the three modalites to learn, echo for me is the best as have loved the heart since the first time I saw the electrical system in 1982. It is all a personal choice. The regular sonographer makes less then and Vascular or and Echo technica. You need to really see inside yourself to which it would be. The Echo techn..the heart is moving and you have to get pictures while the heart is moving. Doing regular ultrasound what you are looking at is "still". Barbara, Have you ever worked per diem? How much do you charge? I have my RDCS and have 2 years experience plus I am an Army Veteran. I have an interview coming up and they want to know how much I charge per study. Thanks! |

I graduated from Echo school in 2007. Since then I have had various jobs in office settings with very little feedback. At this time I have not taken any registry. I lack confidence and feel like I have forgotten everything I've learned. I know I have steady hands and get good images, I just feel lost when it comes to everything else. My current employer would like to know if Im eligable to perform echos without my registry. I believe I am, but dont know for certain. Do I have to be registered to perform ECHOs? |
