UK electrician, work in USA

Hi,

I have currently just arrived back in Scotland, having returned from Australia. And basically im getting itchy feet and want to try my hand at working in the USA, preferably New York, but im willing to try different places. Im really just looking for some advice from the guys/girls who have either done this before or work in the US and could point me in the right direction.

Im timed served, and have worked in a variety of Electrical Install work, including;
Industrial install
Commercial Install
New house building
LV & MV Switchgear and Mining Substations (in Australia)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
