I have been a licensed Electrical Contractor for 14 years in California and now that building has pretty well stopped I tried to go to work for a larger company and was told I was not able to because I did not have a journeymens card. Now I can employ journeymen, teach journeymen, insure their safety and be financially responsible for them but I can not work as a journeymen without a card? Are there any states that will take an active contractors license in leiu of a card so I can get a job? I am willing to relocate for work. Even more hysterical is that the State of California has cancelled the journeymens test due to lack of funds for at least a month! |

I just posted to a Sat TV nstaller who called miself a master. Master driller through the side of your home is more like it. As an old work guy I snake all cables from the roof into the eve-vent and fish the cables to where the home owner wants them. In NH it's worth $60 hr. Put an ad on merchantcircle.com they are real good. My ad is Andrews AVS Lic # 8114 |
