I have recruiter e-mails at Fluor, DynCorp, KBR and a few others but when I contacted recruiters at all of these they told me to submit my resume and apply for jobs at their web sites. I did that at KBR and DynCorp and got replies within two days. IMHO direct contacts won't do you any good. |

trey4u in Mobile, Alabama said: Read my above posts... I don't think they understand you trey. There are people who are on their last leg as far as finances and they will take whatever chances they can get hoping and praying their outcome will be different. The economy is bad because of our past leader and most of the people who wanted it that way are now the main ones crying for help. Amazing. |

The economy is bad because of our past leader and most of the people who wanted it that way are now the main ones crying for help. Amazing. I understand frustration. I'm just speaking from experience. I want to get overseas as much as anyone and thought direct recruiter contacts was the way to go but I found out differently. Upload a resume at their web site, apply for jobs you qualify for and hope for the best. As a side note, Fluor has a LOT of new electrician, foreman and supervisor positions posted on their site for anyone that's interested. www.fluor.com/careers/Pages/default.aspx on the right click "Find LOGCAP job openings". |

I'm wondering why the HUGE compensation discrepancies for like jobs between Fluor and AECOM? I've had an offer from AECOM at a seriously lower scale than Fluor (if my info on Fluor is correct), KBM or even Dyncorp. Any input appreciated, I'm due to fly soon. |

Anyone know anything about Attayee Group? |
|
christkinrusty in Rochester, New York 30 months ago |
It appears to be an Afghan gov't sponsored construction and support company established with 100,000 USD; from where I didn't see. Here is a web link to their home page. My Trend Micro indicates it is untested, but I didn't have any problems.

Roy Alan in Modesto, California 30 months ago |
My name is Roy and I have been an electrition for 26 years. I have experience in almost all facets in the electrical field. My education and experiances graduated in pretty much this order; 4yr apprentice, house wiring, commercial, light and heavy industrial, control wiring and substation work (never nuclear). For the last 8 years I have been foreman, GF, and superintendent. I have never shied away from challenges and I think I would like to try something overseas, especially due to the economy here in the US I am interested in checking out the opportunities elsewhere.

Brytt in Clovis, New Mexico 30 months ago |
I have cousin currently in Afgan who is finishing up a one year contract with KBR.This makes 2 years total he has been employed by KBR and has been happy with them thus far.Dyncorp is moving in and taking over the contract from KBR,which is not new info for anyone on this board. The troubling info that I got from him is that Dyncorp offered him 40k less and is shipping in non-skilled Indians to be the general electrical force, with US licensed contractors supervising.Doesnt look pretty. |
|
hadeats@hotmail.com in Houston, Texas 30 months ago |
dont be to upset brytt. if your cousin is being offered 40k less by dynocorp. kbr is there spending my hard earned tax dollars. the less dollars, the better for all of us. hell, th bums dont even want us to have affordable insurance, but they are handing dick cheneys beloved haliburton (brown and roots owner) all the money in th treassury year after year. aint building nothing for america |
