Doug Pettifer in Hamilton, New Zealand said: I am a electrical contractor in New Zealand. If you are interested in work in New zealad or Australia try looking on the following url seek.co.nz .This is a job agancy in NZ that lists jobs both in NZ and Aus . I know there is a shortage of good electricans in the mining and industrial fields in Australia and they are paying top dollar for sparkys . You could also try your local ADECCO employment agents " these folks are world wide and handle international jobs . I got work through them in Australia . It is great privilege for me to approach you in this day and i am interested to job you are offering. i have experience in construction and maintenance. |

Stevie9 in Belfast, United Kingdom said: Hello, If you applied for an electrical position with kbr, did you- while applying- only put your resume in once? If so, you will NOT hear from them. You have to apply for EVERY "JOB NUMBER" listed under the department title that you are looking for. Once a job number has been filled, all applications associated with that number are removed- they DO NOT forward your resume to the next job. This is up to you. Beleive what I am telling you- I have been putting in resumes/applications with them for MANY people for over 17 years- and they have ALL recieved call backs. Good luck. |

If I might add to that a little Crystal is right, apply for every job that you are qualified for. My only suggestion is not to do it all at the same time. A former recruiter told me that when they go to fill a position the resumes are listed in order by date filed, with the most recent on top. They will work down that list until they fill that position, and they will generally fill a bunch of positions at one time. So by applying for a few positions every couple of days will increase the chance of getting your resume read. They will also use computer screening to select the resumes with the most key words in them. Have a very well written resume and apply for all the jobs that fit into you skills. |

Was wondering what company are you waiting on? I've tried inglett and stubs but not much luck |

had to show my lic.to Fluor so they can check they told my friend he needed a lic.even for a J.W. job but NY doesn't give them for JW's but you need to pass a state approved test at the hall so you can top out.in NY you work under the company lic.I'm going with Fluor when and if I clear medical. |

I've tried inglett and stubs but not much luck What Fluor requires is a state license. There is still a few states that do not require one, I am not sure what they are doing in those cases. That might be where the contractors license is coming into play in NY. |

the only way to get a lic.in NY is as a contractor and the hall will give you a letter telling employers that NY doesn't have a JW.lic. only your dues ticket and a state card saying you did your time and tested out with the board of ed. |

rbalog in Mchenry, Illinois said: How long after you filled out app. did they call you. It was about a week someone from houston contacted me and asked if I had a jouneymans liscense and if I had a passport. I did not have a passport so I had one expedited in it took about 2 to 3 weeks to get it. so if you can, make sure you have your passport. Then I had to take a copy of both and e-mail them to here and she will send them to fluor and in about 2 to 3 weeks I will hear from them. It took them about 2 months to contact me my recruiter said I guess I was one that slipped through. He says from the first day I talked to him their goal is to have me in Greenville in 2 to 3 weeks. Hope this helps |

Fluor starts with the same money unless you get a foreman's job than it's $133,900 with a $3000 bonus after 90 day's and $3,200 upon return from R&R and they only want guy's with a lic. so that kills guy's who's state has no lic. unless they are a contractor on the side. guy from my local might get to test out but it's up in the air now hope this helps I'm on my final leg of getting out after I get an up date from my DR.and am at this for 4 weeks so far Good Luck out their |

As far as contact info, you don't want to cold call a recruiter. That's a good way not to get hired. |
