i know you cannot wear rings ect. but i have my nipple pierced is it possible to through clothing still be a danger, is there any way besides taking it out to avoid the problem? eg put a plastic cover over ect. thanks

My advice is take it out while working near anything live. High voltages in particular have a tendency to arc through the air to metal objects. As far as shielding it with plastic, etc., talk to your company safety officer. He should be able to tell you. If you do not inform the company and are injured because of the nipple ring, insurance may refuse to cover any costs for the injury. At least, that would be true in the USA.
