I graduated in June 2011 with a bachelor in electronics engineering technology. I have no prior experience and I'm currently looking for a job. So far I have tried looking for job as Electronics Technician. What other jobs could I apply for? Also, which companies should I try? I have tried: cellular carriers(AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile), Intel, FAA, Microsoft, Google, AMD, Nokia and many others. I have experience working with Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Digital Probes, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Supplies, Signal Generators and a few others things.

hi, I am also in the same boat as you are. However i only have my associate degree. The Electronics Engineering technology degree is also called Engineering Technology. There are a lot of job opportunities out there that we can pursue along side the Electrical Engineering degree. Try searching for quality control jobs however they will probably want some six sigma classes or certs in order to get that job.

good luck to you and your job search.

This Electronics Engineering Technology Degree is a waste of time and money. NOBODY IS WILLING TO HIRE YOU....
Reason #1) You are not an Engineer.
Then you go down for an Electronics Technician position..result = "NOBODY WILL HIRE YOU"
Reason #2) You don't have proven experience.
Then it goes down to Electronic Assembler.....Which I DID NOT NEED A DEGREE TO PERFORM IN THAT JOB.

Summary, I believe all these universities are lying to students and telling them they will get a job in the engineering field. I just feel so betrayed...i follow the STUPID DREAM WHICH SAYS "GO COLLEGE FOR 5 YEARS,(GET SOME DEBT TO GRADUATE) AND YOU WILL GET A JOB IN THE FUTURE" BUT THE FUTURE IS JUST TRASH.....I COULD HAVE GET SOME 5 YEARS IN EXPERIENCE ON ANYFIELD.......BUT THATS JUST MY OPINION ON THIS WORTHLESS BACHELORS DEGREE....

I have a electronic engineering technology certificate for 6 months now, and I don't have a job in this field even I have looked for it everyday. I feel so depressed. This is a wasting time. Do not recommend.
