You should already know if you are allowed to do skin services with a cosmetology license. Do you mean to say you have not been trained to do skin services, except to pass your state board exam? You should definitely NOT do facials until you get some specific facial training. The International Dermal Institute (Dermalogica) has classes all over the US, so check into taking a few classes, and then practice as much as you possibly can on friends, family, etc. When you feel fairly competent, then and ONLY then should you do facials in a spa.

I know your question is in regards to facials but please here me out. I am an esthetician who now specializes in teeth whitening. This has growing in leeps and bounds in us and canada which works well with cosmetology, hair stylists and estheticians without restrictions of salon locations or home based locations please feel free to contact me if this is of any interest. All the best to you.
