Hi, I am a licensed Aesthetician in MN. I have been a stay at home Mom for 4 years and am wanting to get back into the field, but want to go into the more "medical" side rather than the "spa" side which I have done and wasn't real happy as I am also a Certified Massage Therapist.
I was thinking about taking the Medical Assistant program online and then attending a two day Medical Esthetics boot camp in IL to become more "hirable" for a derm office or clinic.
Anyone have any feedback on this--Would be much appreciated.

Just curious if anyone has gone to the two week training at the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, AZ? I'm thinking about doing that now, but I want to make sure at 8,000 plus bucks its worth it!!

That depends. What is the syllabus of this course? (Do not lay out any money for a course which can not provide this.) How much is theory, practical (demonstrations) and hands on? If hands-on, who will you be practicing on?

If you are only getting theory and practicle is in the way of demonstration, you can get that for around $800.00 with DVD's. For 8 grand, I would want to know a lot more.

Here's a link on info on the DVD instructor:

I'm thinking about taking the same course. Has anyone else replied to your post? Can you email me and let me know? Thank you! cia_103@hotmail.com
