NEED ADVICE! Is it a good idea to get my Medical Assistant Certification & Esthetician's License?!??! Schools in Burank, CA?

Hi, I really want to be a para-medical esthetician. I was thinking of getting my medical assistant certification and esthetician's license in hopes of being qualified to get a job in a plastic surgeon's or dermatologist's office. Is that a good idea? Have any of you gone this route before? Honestly I would love to be a dermatologist, but I don't have the resources to pay for or support myself while in school that long. Any recommendations on what schools to check out in Burbank, CA area for either would be soooo helpful also. Overall any advise from someone who has become a successful para-medical esthetician would be much appreciated. Thank you sooooo much :)

I too live in the Burbank area and I want to get Esthetician license because I want to work at a dermatology office. I already have my MA certificate and currently enrolled in a cosmetology program and I plan on getting my esthetician license as well. I like the medical field and the beauty industry and I figured that this would be a great way to combine the two.
