Ok So, I'm new to this forum and to the field and my program is only 15 weeks long and I'm at week 3. I have to say they are already telling us to go shadow at the place we are considering wanting a job. There are soooo many choices among spa's, doctor offices, therapist, hospitals and there is even an oppurtunity to work for a plastic surgeon doing pre and post operation therapy.
I was really shocked about the last one but I went and saw the place, it is impressive but intimidating. It's all intimidating I mean I have to have business cards made my Thursday! LOL, What does everything is some of the better places to work??
Self employment better than being under a Doc?
Hospital better than a Therapist?
A spa that doesn't have the Hair salon attached?
Inquiring minds want to know :)

You should keep your options open. I would love to have that many options to choose from. In central illinois you lucky if people even know what an esthetician is let alone all those jobs to choose from. I was blessed to find a wonderful place here for me to have self employment. My passion was to work along side a Doctor but hear there is not much need for it. But i do agree with your instructors Shadow as many places as possibe to find your match.
