I'm going to be takin the Tennessee practical portion in 3 weeks. I was wanting to know....at the end when your washing everything with soap and water. do you put the implements in the sanitizing jars or do you just spray them with alcohol. If anyone knows please let me know.

I just took my stae exam and passed, I'm in Fl so i believe the exam is different from California and Nevada, but there is alot of questions on Make Up, Waxing, and the questions through the whole exam if very tricky...

Girls I need some small details for the practical...I live in Orange County.

Should I bring my own towels or are they supplied....

I bring my own make up right?

Should bring my own tweezers?

How do you set up the bed at the practical...Do I need to bring anything

hi u don t need to bring any thing accept 2 pencils and u r i d and comfermation letter all u need to need is to rent a kit from any company for estician . u can rent from jazz they r the best . there phone # i don t have it on me now but if u go on line they have there#.and plus they will give u free classes for all the practicle part .what exactally u suppose to do .i deffeneatily suggest u to go for thase classes

Ok a few questions I need to be answered.

1. are we supposed to keep sponges outside sma or throw away
2.Are estheticians supposed to do Mascara or is that only for cosmetologist students.
3. and if we do do mascara its also re-applied on false lashes application
4.What are the plain facial steps exactly in order
5.Do we choose our own light with the light facial?
Thats it really want to know plain facial procedures as they left that out in my video...because we have a choice of plain,scrub, or light right

6. Also before makeup application we cleanse the entire face not just the eyes and mouth or is it just eyes and mouth...Wondering as they left that out of the video as well...Anyways Help

also a bit of info did you know you can reschedule your written, I did two weeks after so I can study for one test at a time which seriously helps with stress would recommend it ladies...Good luck to ALL

I would recommend going through the steps beforehand- by both actually doing it and writing it out so you can visually see the steps. It may help you remember. A lot of the girls were not even able to get any of the eye lashes on at the end, but I don't think they failed. Just keep everything sanitary and don't draw any attention to yourself. Congrats!! I graduated 4 years ago and just now am going to take my esthetic test!! I'm freaking out! I'm studying big time. I just wish i would've taken it right after graduating..now that i'm realizing it's what i really want to do i'm hurting bad! ha. If you could give me any advice it would be grateful!!! Ok ladies I passed...What I would soooo recommend is this buy the esthetician practical exam video from Jazz beauty products online.I also did the private tutoring sessin for Three hours the day before. This will help you pass. If you do everything the same as the ladyin the video you will pass plus it is set up in the video exactly like stateboard so you will not miss a thing...Try and stay calm and think about the steps before doing them as well as read directions thoroughly and don't forget a pencil....Good luck

I am moving to Nevada and am scheduled to take my exam July 23rd. Just wondering if anyone has taken the exam in California and Nevada, and what the difference is. I know Nevada is a national exam and I'm not sure how to study for it. I have all my notes and text book for Callifornia but I'm not sure if the information is the same.
