I have been scouting several locations in my town,(Glendale, CA) and I found that nail, hair salons gladly offer me a room, we discuss the conditions,and I will bring many own clients plus I will get the walk ins; but when I ask for a signed agreement or bring one typed on moving day, they refuse to sign one. The initial offers are have been a 60/40% split agreement on client's treatment price only. I need to learn more about the percentage paid for sales,on both sides. I will have my equipment and products in this room. Is this the normal in the industry not to have an agreement at the beginning? I do not think that my professional and business life should start with an oral agreement. I carry my liability insurance, belong to several organizations and have clients. Any suggestions or experience on how you nailed the right contract for you will be appreciated. Have a great day!
