I find estimating challenging and every day I learn something new. I get to use my entire skill set not just my brain but also including my personality dealing with customers.

The only part that I don't enjoy is my human error does sometimes happen and I do feel very poorly when I affect someone elses bottom line and thus their paycheck.

The opportunities for advancement is taking on more and more responsibility in product and system knowledge. That way I can be more effective on complete system estimating not just the "parts" that I know.

I stay because I love the feeling of constant usefulness and productivity. I stay because I love the challenge. I stay because I am very proud of what I do and do it well.
