I would start thinking like a bride myself. Looking for a planner. Place an ad in the circular paper in your area. Contact people by calling them from the yellow pages (please check into your laws regarding cold calling). Join groups and become a member and network to get business cards. This will help you to create lists, and you can follow up and get referrals. Attend the bridal expos. Leave business cards with the hair salon managers, this takes good old fashion marketing, you might have to do a lot of walking, but it is worth it. You need to be prepared, have reliable transportation, carry with printed materials, business cards and if you have a lap top, show a presentation of your website. Just be creative and have fun....don't stress over it because this leads to doubt. If you LOVE what you do, you will be successful at it. you have to make a plan to push your name out into the world. I hope this helps. |
