Well wow, i'm 28 and I've been working as administrative assistant since I was the age of 20 and within those years so much has changed. I can definitely say that the Administrative Assistant/Coordinator/Executive Assistant has really taken on a roll of a Manager. I remember when I started it was teh miniscule stuff that I would handle. Typing, mailing, faxing, copying, basically doing all the work that took time away from the higher positions but now, I feel like they really lean on admin's to really take charge and kind of think of new ideas to make the company more organize, run more effectively, more assign responsibilities rather than just, doing someones work they really don't want to do. I think it has dramatically changed and I have to admit the pay in CT for admin's is really great. I have no complaints over here!
