Internships for fashion design

Hello everyone! I am an aspiring fashion designer and I was wondering if anyone knew of a any internships in the Georgia area. Perhaps in the Atlanta, Metro area. I can be any hting in the fashion industry. Oh... also for teens. Like 15! Thanks again!

Most places that are looking for interns you must be in college. Best bet is just if you have sketches and designs in a portfolio to send them off to different company's.

Fit in New York or Parsons school of design. I also heard that Savannah College of Art and Design had a good program. But I you want more experince I suggest schooling in NYC.

WOW... I havent been on here in a while. Okk well lets see.. for all my people who live in NYC or Cali, you guys have much better chance of finding an internship because these are the 2 biggest fashion capitals in the US. I may be wrong so correct me. I see I have alot of Ohio people here too. You guys may have a harder time there finding internships too. All I can say is keep looking. My name is Brianna B. If you dont mind, I'd like to just go on ahead and get straight to the main factors. I have deisigned clothes since my years of youth, Iam now 20. I have gained experience in areas such as sewing, fabrics, sketching, drawing, coloring, and perfecting my clothing ideas. My theme of fashion is quite different, however, eye catching, so I've heard. Iam in college, on my way of receiving my bachelor's degree for fashion design & merchandising. I planned my future to be surrounded by nothing more than fashion itself. Now as for a portfolio, I would not exactly say it was professioanl like, however, I would use the terms, "decent" and "appropriate". I would truly, and honetly love if I, Brianna, could have any advice, tips, or possible fashion internship assistance. Anything of this sort would be of great help for my upcoming future life in the fashion industry. I am quite aware of my potential an I will of course use it to my greatest advantage. Well danielle I woould say that you should get a job for a fashion designer and be there assiatant for a while. This way you can learn the ropes of the business.

Yeah, mostly just shirts and skirts because we were allowed incorporate pre-made pieces. I would add some jeans and other classics to outfits because im still working on my sewing. im still not to great at sewing fabrics like denims.

Hi y'all I am not in design but I will be graduating from Bauder College this fall with a degree in fashion Merchandising. Anyway, I am in a class that is preparing us for our internship and the teacher gets us the interview where we want, but we have to tell her what we want. So my question is, since a lot of people get their internships changed to a job and this can be life changing for me, does anyone know all the good places in Altanta or near there that are in the Industry? I mean a place that would be connected to the Industry as say teen Vogue or Vogue is. I want to eventually move to Cali and I would like a job that I can do well at and be able to pretty much move where I want because of their Industry connections and them being able to recommend me to other places in LA after I've worked for them a few years. This is being that I got the internship and got hired, but either way I'd like to know of places that are high up on the fashion scale that they are connected with celebs, etc all the time. Sorry I don't know exactly how to put it but Vogue was the best way I could put it lol. Thanks!

I’m in a hair and fashion show at my beauty school. The show is Sunday, May 3, 2009 5p-9p. I have the hair part covered, but not the fashion. Also, I need some dancers to help fill in the scenes. I have three scenes in total that are 11-15min. long each. This is not a paying gig, but you will get exposure, be fed, and gain admittance to the event without a charge. Guests would need to pay $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

Anyway, I have five models per scene and need them wear your fashions and/or be graced by your dancing. The scenes are Fantasy (Vegas meets Goth), Glamour (Hollywood meets Coming to America), and Total Look (just kicking it at the club). Please let me know if you can help me with my project.
