I'm fresh out of college with 7 years experience in commission sales, mostly retail. So far, I've been rejected enough to require a drink (one rejection was 3 hours after applying). To no surprise, they were because I don't have the Series 7 yet. How do you get out of this Catch-22?

i'm fresh outta college just got a FA gig at Merrill. I was lucky enough to place into the program but i've seen that becoming a client associate first allows you to transfer into the FA program BUT your grades and experience have to be top notch. I had experience working in the Private equity space along with an internship at BofA. Quality of quantity man. Hope that helps.

Try using linkedin and do some networking. Get in touch with the actual hiring managers and make your case for sponsorship.
