Hi. I just want to send a note of encouragement out there to those interviewing. I am switching career paths in becoming a flight attendant, -- learning to do something that I've always wanted to do. If you've decided you want to try this, don't give up! Do your best for the Horizon interviews and don't get dispirited if it takes awhile to hear back. In the meantime, continue researching and applying for jobs you think would be good, -- whether these are other jobs for Horizon or FA jobs with other airlines. Positive action really helps keeps spirits up and is essential to the career search. Be sure to check out some good library books and/or get input from friends to improve your resume and cover letters. Resumes should be as job-specific as possible, highlighting your skills, education, and experience pertinent to that job. You are special and important and you just need to find the right spot that will value your fine qualities. Hang in there!

There were probably 15 of us there and 4 were selected to advance that day. One of the 4 had FA experience. Unfortunately, I was not selected (with FA experience). But I flew to Dallas the next day for AA and now advancing through the background check. So everything is working out better for me in the end. It's really good to interview with many airlines to see what the best fit is for both you and the airline and I see that that is what you are doing. Good luck!

As promised here is my report re: Horizon Interview...There were about 20 of us there, and they had us sign in at at about 0755, we all went to to a room, auditorium style and watched a presentation about the company until about 1015 ish we took a 15 minute break, they then split the group up in to 2 groups setup the room in a semi circle, first they had us assemble in alphabetical order. Once seated we did our first exercise, They handed out laminated cards with city names on them, we had to assemble them in order like the map of the Horizon destinations north to south along the length of the floor, we all worked together, next we all took seats and they past out the first set of cards, had to keep them faced down until the person next to you got up, had to say name and the letter on the card of the question we had...a,b,c,d,etc.. then answer the question, Customer Service based on previous job all individual, exercise 3: we got in to 2 groups of 5 and had 10 minutes to create a product they we could sell on the airplane to bring in more revenue and how we would market it! then we did the question thing again but it was about job adaptability, and finally the last question we had to answer was name a famous person we all admire dead or alive and why! Took a 15 minute break or so...then they came out did cuts, they kept about 6 or 7 people and told everyone else to reapply in 6months, scheduled the ones selected for one on one interviews later in that day! Training to start April 8th and they also said that they were not making same day offers but you would know in less than a week! April 8th is the LAST class for the year and about 20 spots open no more expansion for the year after that...Seemed like we had a good group all ppl seemed to have a shot but have no clue what these people are looking for! On a side note explored medford and surrounding area today saw old town of Jacksonville, Lake Squam, Applegate Lake,The Dam and Rogue National forest,a cool place!!!

Can anyone help me with a makeup question? Should a woman wear foundation? No one has mentioned it when talking about the makeup that should be worn. I do not usually wear foundation, but I will start parcticing if you think I should....:)
