I e-mailed and tried calling Kristin about the terminologies and time worksheet. She sent me the same documents that I've received before without those worksheets that I needed..I don't know how to reach her. I'm scared that I might not get the terminologies on time and I have to cram and would look dumb during the class:(

Worst Case Senerio D we have to help you cram at the hotel on the 27th. I'm sure we could all use the brush-up anyway :)

OK I just call HR.... for those of us going from CMH to ORD, then ORD to IND on the 27th, everything is set. There was a glitch in the system but they have it fixed now. We are NOT to print our boarding passes at home, but we are to go to the kiosk wed morning... then if is doesn't show up there, then we go to the desk. United has some issues with the business travel space possitve tickets. Or so pat told me... I'll be there at 8.45... look for me :)

I still have a few more items to buy as well... I've been so busy the last week. Hit'n the books hard and trying to get everything ready. In a way I wish that I were staying at the hotel so that I could have a full time study buddy... My husband won't be home much while I'm in trainning so I'm on my own!

Thank you so much for the offer. I e-mailed the in-flight manager about my missing packet and she kept sending me the materials that I had. Luckily, before noon she sent me the missing packet with terminologies and time worksheet. Including with those packet are the dress codes and other rules. Oh my gosh, I thought am good to go I didn't expect that I have to have a certain color of suits without pinstripes on them! Most of my business suits have pinstripes huh! The formal shoes that I have are no-no too for the training. Luckily, I kinda afford to rush and buy a new bussiness suit and shoes that I could use for the first day! If I was broke, then I could have get points for violating the dress codes. It's hard to be a woman huh!

Now, am stress out:0( I wish we could all pass this training...

well um just an fyi you WONT have time for TV. The entire time I was there I studied all the time we had and I only watched maybe 20mins of TV the entire time. From getting back from class at 8pm and having to be at the hangar at 930 and not getting back until 3 or 4am you dont have the energy to study. Im 19 and still in College and I COULDN'T even stay up any later and study sleep is the second important thing.

Yep, I hear ya Scott.. at my age (46) I will have to put all my energies into studying..It's been awhile since I've done a lot of SERIOUS studying that's for sure.. but I am DETERMINED to pass this training!!

Yea just be prepared for long hours and not a lot of time to study. But just don't give up and remember sleep is important too, you may be better to go to sleep early and wake up early but im sure you will find a way.

Dawna just to let you know at my last airline there was a lady in my training class that was a retired high school calculas teacher.... she was 68. This was her fun job, and let me tell you what. She is one of the BEST flight attendants that Skybus has to offer. She is awesome.... she tought of us all as her kids :)

D - I feel your pain about the business suits. All of mine have pinstripes as well (or colors). I went onto the JCPenney website, and found a couple of very inexpensive black suits and ordered them. They came today, and they are just fine for what we need them for, and I didn't spend a lot of money.

Yeah, am telling you RJ I thought am already packed and ready to go..Even my jewelries, I still need to buy a stud earrings tomorrow..I also bought my suits in JCPenney they are inexpensive...I told my hubby that am not applying to be a hollywood actress hahhahah!!! Oh! well I guess this is part of the hurdles that we have to experience.

By the way, do you guys know the terminologies by heart (word by word)! Do you think we have to define the terms or just multiple choice. Do we have to pass the time worksheet on the first day? or it's just a sample worksheet? any idea?

Most of the words wont be on there and the time sheet yes on the time test whichever day that is there are about ten questions on converting time toward the end of the test so its crucial to know how to tell time in the 24 hour format thats how this business is when you get ur schedule it will be in this time.

I've been fighting the email wars today. I've been unable to get the documents that Corina has tried to send me. So far, I do have the 9 page document with the city codes, etc., but the 36 page document continues to elude me. She said that she may have to FedEx to me. One of my classmates is also trying to help me out by sending. ARRRRRGGGG!
I do hope that you get tomorrow off so that you can get your footing and figure things out around your new 'hood. The Delta employee store isn't too far from you, so you can cruise over there and check things out.

Dawna, you have found her. I would love to be your study partner. You seem to have the ezact mindset that I have for this class. Listen, work, study, sleep, AND PASS are my only goals for the 22 days!!!! What hotel are you staying at?

Hey you guys....I havent been on here in while, at least since before I went to training.

I'm a new FA with SA, just fininished training last Mon, finished my IOE on last Thurs....and started my 1st day of reserve yesterday.

I just want to encourage you all headed to training to STUDY, STUDY, STUDY..... and just when u think u know it STUDY some more. With that said dont over study, take some time to relax, and if u can get away cause you will need it. Its all about balance!

Dont get caught up in drama, cause trust me the instructors hear about EVERYTHING.....

Use your classmates to help each other learn the information, I would walk around the hotel, and when I got on the bus and just tell people to ask me questions about whatever we were gonna be tested on, that way I could make sure I was confident in whatever they could possibly ask me.

The study guide that they send you was most helpful for the test for me......if you get in groups and go over that together then you should be fine.

make sure you are compliant EVERYDAY!!!!! If you cant wear a pendent on your necklace, just dont wear the necklace.....etc....

Hey guys, I just returned from a week of training for my new position with Lender Lead Solutions Reverse Mortgage in NY. I have accepted the southeast territory which includes GA, AL, SC, NC and Florida Panhandle so I guess i will be putting off my flying career for a future date. I am not sure how I will enjoy this position so I am taking it one day at a time I will ask for a "push back" starting date from SA and I am not sure whether or not they will provide me with one but I hope so because should I decide that I want to fly instead I don't want to lose my opportunity. for now, however, I must concentrate on this new opportunity. I will be traveling often, by plane, so I hope to see you all on one of your future flights. Best of luck to everyone. You have made me laugh so many times. You will all be tremendouls FAs and I am so honored to have been along for the ride before your true journey.

RJ, I just got off the phone with an account I have in your neck of the woods. I will be traveling through there on my way to Florida Panhandle and Alabama next week. Maybe we can have lunch or a cup of coffee?

I'll be 43 in July.. I only live 20 min. from the training center so no hotel for me.
