Republic, Shuttle, Chautauqua, North American, Trans States , and Air Wiscosin?

Republic has been known for Hire easy... but train hard.
They make it possible for everyone to live their dream.. as long as they can pull their own weight.

Other airlines hire hard.. then train easy.

At Republic.. you need to know your stuff.. or they say bye-bye.
They give people the chance.. but some
people don't take it seriously because the interview is really easy and most people get hired.
The training is a wake up call for some.
Republic FA's are some highly trained FA's.

When you are on reserve you have 11 days off. And usually your start time is 4am to 4pm. I've never had Crew scheduling call me that early if i had a early showtime they call the night before.
Bidding; you can always bid max schedule, minimum schedule, Reserve (yes u can bid reserve and u will get it..lol), and then there's GLT (Guarantee Low Time) you have to send Crew planning a email a month before and they will approve it or deny u GLT. But it sounds like u would want a minimum schedule which is set to around 85 hrs. We have a new system and its actually cool. it makes trip trading and etc easier.

I just got asked to go to an interview in indianapolis but i thought you were suppose to go to an interview session close to your hometown. On republic airlines website there is one in greensboro, nc on 22nd thats much more closer to where I stay.Or does everyone have to do there interview indianapolis?

u ususally just go wherever they ask you...i guess you could always call them back and see what they say tho?

Are things handled similarly with Chautauqua and Shuttle as with Republic since they are all under the umbrella of Republic Airways? I didn't know whether I'd have a choice of the 11 days that I get off or not. I just assumed they would let me know the days I had to be on reserve and I'd just have to make due with what I got and schedule my life around it accordingly.

I just heard on the news that the airline in minnesota just got grounded. Have yall heard anything like that.

Does anyone know if I should bring the actual birth certificate to prove my parents relation, or can I bring a copy of it?

Are you talking about for a Passport? If so, it does need to be a certified copy of the birth certificate. A simple photocopy will not do.

You only need their birth certificate if they're remarried. If they both have the same last name of you (assuming you aren't married), then you can just list their names.

did they say anything about discounts for boyfriends or girlfriends? At the recruiting event they said your significant other will get discounts but then in my training information it says to bring proof of marriage. My boyfriend and I are not married yet, but have been dating over 6 years and I would hope i could get him the discount...any idea???????

you get 14 buddy passes which cos $20 each way and a extra $5 to have them fedex from Republic and 8 from Usairways. If you have a boyfriend/girlfriend u want on your travel benefits you would add them as a registered guest!!

If you don't have a spouse, u just add your significant other as a registered guest and they would get the same privileges as a domestic. Hope this helps..Lol!!! ;)

Yes, training is in Indy. Depending how far youre away...yes they do pay for the hotel. I am not sure how long one will sit reserve...as I am on reserve, I am in month 2. Reserve is 4am-4pm mostly for me so far. There is not reserve (sitting at the airport) those hours vary. With any call out...you have 90 minutes to be at the gate.

I am not sure where you got that...that was not my schedule. The most flight I have worked in a day is 4. Tuesday I was on only 3 flight and it was day 4 of my 4 day trip, so I ended up back at my base. Yes sometimes we do switch out planes...but for the most part we keep the plane we start with and the same crew for the trip.

I work at headquarters and I heard about this message forum through several of co-workers and we decided to take a look for ourselves.
Wow, You ladies and gentleman have soo many questions. I'm very happy that so many of you are showing alot of enthusiasm for the company. That is wonderful I cannot wait to see all of you walking through the halls of the company. Republic Airways is growing tremendously and we are happy to have you.

We do ask that you be as discreet as you can, especially giving out hotel information online and such.

It sounds like a great company, and my major concern is I would get hired, train, and then be told my base wouldn't be ATL...

Hi Andre---read the past couple of pages...there are some tips for interviews, etc. Basically wear a suit, smile a lot, be honest and relax. It starts out as a big information session and then they have a break and do one on one interviews with everyone. Then it takes abotu 2 weeks to hear if you are invited to training...and another few weeks to find out when.

I currently work for chautauqua and LOVE IT! i would highly encourage anyone interested to apply at any of the republic holdings companies (chautauqua/shuttle america/republic) it's a great place to start if you're interested in making a carrer out of flight attending or just wanting to have fun and travel for a couple years! good luck to everyone who applies!

Just completed class tomorrow is our 1st day off. We are off on Thursdays, still no base information yet. Let me tell you, when you get here you have to stay focused. We have had 5 test passed all of them still have my retakes. We have lost 3 people so far and have a few on their final retakes for Saturday and some on 1st retake. If you study, take notes, and pay attention to everything you will do fine. They teach you everything you need to know. All in all this is a great experience, Graduating on 4/16. I'm glad to see you are looking into Republic.. great choice... nice people that run that company.

Once you apply on line.. the wait will be about a week or two at most before you receive a call from Corina. She is very pleasant and down to earth when she speaks with you. Her call is mainly to give you the dates that you may attend the interview in Indy. I advise attending the interview in Indy because it will be about ten others... rather then the open house.. with 100.
Also, the ladies that conduct the interview in Indy... are sweethearts and really sharp with their aviation knowledge. They treat you with enormous respect and 'really' are happy you are interested in their company. They're very proud.. as they should be.
During the interview you will be asked to introduce yourself to the group. Name, where from.. what you do now. Have you speech down to 60 seconds. Really, if you ramble they won't dig it. This is to see if you can follow directions. They really don't want your life story.
You have nothing to be nervous about. so don't get cought up in rambling on and on.
Next, you will have your FTF with one of the sweet gals. Very simple questions.
If you are good with people and can be a team player... then you are in.
Bring your passport and another photo ID.

Please skip Mesa. If I can help you with any other airline.. just ask.

Is there anyone who was hired on with Chautauqua that went to the Cincinnati recruiting last month event that has been scheduled for training yet? Seems like the training I'm hearing about that is scheduled for the 23rd is for Republic and I know that Shuttle, Republic and Chautauqua are all under Republic Airways but I didn't know if they mixed the separate airlines together for training.

Would appreciate any info and I'm still anxiously awaiting news of my training date.
