Yea Sam I saw your posts about the whole age thing, thats why I applied to Compass. I work for Virgin America nowbut, they won't let you switch to In-Flight until you are 21.

Just had an interview yesterday in Phoenix. I liked the relax atmosphere. And, the interview was very nice. I was sent right after the interview to get a drug tested. Do anyone know the process of when mor or less they notify you that one has been selected? Thanks

Hey there how are you well I interviewed with them and they sent me for drug test and fingerprint background check so the drug test shouldnt take long but its the background check that takes a while so if they give you a certain time that you will be contacted then trust me you will be contacted they seem to be very punctual and I like that. Be patient I am sure they will contact you.

I too applied in the middle of May and still haven't heard anything yet. I hope I get a phone call soon! Does anyone know when Compass will be posting new open house sessions on their website?

I just got home from a Compass Grad in Eagan. It is much more laid back than I expected. I watched the training video from my girlfriends class and I was surprised they didn't have to were black pants and white blouses in training. Everyone just wore what ever. And they seemed lax on weight restrictions and hair. That surprised me too.Well it's a new world.

Wannafly check your e-mail and your spam folder to make sure you didn't miss something. Can't be to careful.And if you don't hear soon call them. There was two other classes at the grad, one class was a few weeks into training and the other was arriving on the bus as I was going in.
Let me know. Also did you apply at Pinnacle????

Wow that's awesome actually well congratz to your g/f and I hope it goes well for her. So when she did the interview did she get drug tested and fngerprinted the same day and if so how long did it take for Compass to call her back with a job offer? I got drug tested and printed the same day I was there and people keep telling me oh you have the job they just waiting for everything to come back clean if that is the case then I am very happy but I am still not going to count my chickens before they hatch :) Yes and Compass does seem very laid back and I am very glad I chose this company to possibly work for.

It all went fast for her. She applied beginning of May and Grad today.

Does age matter to Compass? I just had my 50th birthday. I am in good shape, good health and have stamina. I go to the gym 4 x a week and can leap a building in a single bound. (that is how agile I am! LOL) Do I have a chance being OTH.

I've been checking my "spam" folder every time I log on!!! 'Also check both my cell messages and home phone messages every 5 minutes! (LOL) I've thought about calling them, but can't find a number anywhere. Any suggestions?

I was supposed to go to the Pinnacle open house in MSP tomorrow, but am not able to make it now. I emailed Paola explaining my situation and she responded telling me to plan on the July 9th open house instead. 'Am feeling a little concerned about Pinnacle with Delta trying to back out of their contract with them though. It's tough to know what to do with that situation... everything I've read about Pinnacle sounds so appealing -"small time values" type stuff. I really like the idea of flying with Compass too, because it's a newer company owned by NWA. I'm hoping to be based out of MPS, if hired, so that puts a few restraints on who I apply with.

Oh good! Because I have been waiting 20 years to do this! I worked for a huge travel agency out in Eagen and I even had my wedding reception at the airport! I am that much of a Airline freak! After I had kids my jets were grounded as I wanted to raise them myself and now that they are out of the nest I want to continue pursuing my dream.

I have my interview on the 30th.

I applied on the 19th of March and I just sort of gave up hope. Everyone was saying 'oh, I got my interview a week later...' and I was thinking ..darn! Then one day just for the heck of it I decided to see what is up and there something in my site changed from something (I forget ) to approved for review. I then realized something is up. They called me when I least expected it. I had two bars on my cell phone and was sweating out that if this takes any longer I am going to have to do the 'plug in the cell phone discreetly' thing. But I was ok.

I am excited!!!

Hey how are you? when did you get the call to attend training? I am still waiting for a call back from them so hopefully I will hear from them soon. When did you go interview and how long did it take for them to get back to you I know Sam says it took them like 3.5-4 weeks to get in touch with him and he also says that its a really good sign if they send you for the drug test and print test while ur there so let me know and again congratz. I was also told at the interview that they are looking for people for their July class so I hope I end up in that class :) Much luck to you and keep us updated here.

Good luck to you, you will love the interview at Compass they are so nice and sweet and very puncutal. No worries just be yourself and I am sure you will go far. I met quite a few people when I was there including some pilots and they are all very nice it really made me feel good when I went to go do my prints I saw one of the pilots I was chatting to in the lobby and he was a really nice guy so that got me even more confident :) So anyway just be yourself and have fun in MSP its a great city from what I've seen and keep us updated as to what happens :) I had my interview and now am just waiting for a call back it will be 2 weeks in a few days so still have time :) yay I hope I end up in the July 21st class too :)

Yes!!!!! *high five* Make sure your cell phone is plugged in. They will call you without warning. It took two and a half weeks for me to get a call.

I just got my non rev ticket. The return is open ended!! whoo hoo. Good sign! That means if there is 'more to do' then you don't have to worry about missing a flight.

For me it is de ja vu, because 20 years ago, I worked in Eagan at International Travel Arrangers, and we were five minutes from the air port. I used to work as a dietitian, but I so wanted to go into the travel industry so I chucked it all and went half way across country to go to McConnell School of Travel. I met a guy there one week living in Minneapolis and I got married to him a year later!!! I told my husband about going back to Eagen and he said 'don't pick up any strange men who drive 85 cameros!' LOL! I went out with him primarily because of his car...joke was on me!

your status shouldn't change on the website. Mine still says approved for review and I have already interviewed, been contacted by HR and scheduled for training class too.

Mother of in MI, Congrats! (I'm a mother of 3, two grown and on their own, and one getting close) Can you tell me, prior to the initial contact by Compass after sumbitting your online application, did it state, "Submitted for Requisition" under "status"?

I am 20 in September, have almost a year of college completed and not too much work experience besides 4 years of customer service. I just applied online to Compass airlines and am really interested in working for them as a FA. I am wondering how great my chances are of getting the job considering my age and such...

Compass must be hiring a LOT of FA's....at least that is the jist I am getting.

They have two classes going at 1 time
Two weeks apart Yest I meet the graduating class and the other 2 classes there.

Don't give up. Sit tight, and hang in there. I applied in March and I have just got the landing wheels up ready for take off! Hopefully there will be a 'gate' for me and I won't have to park this dream job in the hanger!

What do the uniforms look like? Are there any TV's on these planes?

No TV's, no XM radio like AirTran, no entertainment whatsoever except for what the flight attendants. The planes are beautiful, coming right off the assembly line to our front door. The uniforms are a blue shirt, dark grey pants for skirt, scarves for women, ties for the gents.
