Do they ask you if you can speak another language? I am trying to do Spanish via Rosetta Stone...as I really want this. I am hoping that if I know a little bit of a language that might be an extra card in my pocket.

My heart just races everytime I hear someone made it to training. Gosh I hope that is me in three weeks. I have been to so many interviews..I made it to the Biggie twice where they told you only 4 out of 250,000 made it to this point...but then I said something or did something that made me crash and burn. I actually made it past the phone interview with NW and was on the list for the one on one and then they stopped hiring. I was so shattered. I get so far and then boom!

I am so hoping that this is my Waterloo..that I will not be Bonaparte this time but Wellington!

Hey Alex don't worry I am sure they will call you. I know I was saying the same thing but as long as you are yourself you have nothing to worry about. They can smell fakeness a mile away so that is the best advice I can tell you just be yourself.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone is scheduled for the July 21st class? I was called last month and they offered me the June 16th class, but I had to delay it because of previous obligations with my current job. Thanks

I have pic's from the last graduating class, but the uniforms were not in so everyone wore street cloths to their graduation. Sorry

I had a hilarious day! I went shopping and bought a new pair of lucky black pumps, a new lucky bra, some new make up and just went wild! I am psyched!!

Alexis, when did you apply and when did you hear something from them? My status on my application changed to Approved for Review a few days ago, so I'm still waiting. When do you think I'll hear something?

I applied March 19, and nearly gave up on it. About three weeks later the status changed to Approved for Review and then about two weeks later I got a phone call. It got me right out of the blue too. I was least expecting it. But it was easy and never fear you will do just fine!

I just went to a open house session here in Phoenix on June 11th. And, my status already has change to "Approved for review". So, how long more or less would it take for someone to call from the recruitment dept? Thanks, for any answers to my questions.....

I was just looking over my app and my application was dated as 3/29/08 and I only got a call for an interview a few weeks ago....?

Yes, for 9 years before the siezed and filed chapter 11 this past April,2008....

Has anyone ever read Kiki Wards book? I think it is really helpfull.

There is no time frame whatever they tell u at ur interview then just base it on that. Compass is very punctual when it comes to scheduling trainings and such.

I went to the open house in late April and got my call the second week of May. I was offered the June 16th class date but since I did not have a current passport, I chose to attend the July 7th class. I just received my packet this past week after speaking with the hr rep on June 10th.

Commuters: Honestly unless you live in Minneapolis or to the west of there you are going to want to be Detroit based. They build the pairings there for commuters as 80% of the base is. And most all of Minneapolis people live there.

Kiki's book got me hired plus she gives you free advice in email after purchasing the book as well.

We are currently up to 250+ flight attendants. We'll probably stop initial hiring before the holiday season.

I am a part of that group too, Ceasar. I was MDW based, but commuted from DTW. Are you coming to Compass? I was at an open house and they were very nice. I love the fact that the aircraft are so fuel efficient,new and able to stand the volatile roller coaster ride.
