I am flying on another carrier as VA does not fly out of ATL, where I am currently at until 5/10. I had also sent Megan an email as she is the one that had sent me the assessment link. It took about 3 or 4 days after I sent my email to get the invite. Labrina is the one who actually responded with the invite. She has been great, very responsive. VA's people department is a big credit to them. I am extremely impressed.

Well then maybe Megan will respond to my email? I do not have a email for Labrina I saw her name on the email that was sent for the assessment. Do you have it?

My best guess is that they divide up the work, and work closely together as a team. So, I would think that an email to either one will eventually get you a response from the appropriate person. I sent my email to Megan and received a response from Labrina. So I would think that you are okay, since you did the same thing. I told her that I had finished the assessement, and would like to know what the next step was, which hopefully, was an interview.

Hope this helps you. I hope you get a response very soon and that we will be going to the same interview! I can't wait to hear who is going on 4/29. She said they would be interviewing about 100 people.

aww... you know what, you never know. just remain positive. i know its always hard to when you're waiting.. cuz i was dreading the wait too.. but they told me they were picking 30 out of 50 people. so for me i think its a very good chance.. who knows.. they said they'll call regardless if you go it or not.. soo there's still a chance!!! hehe

Just so you all know sherry and I both have been trying to contact either megan or labrina and they have not gotten back to us.. I think they are VERY busy and thus the delay on the rest of the notifications.. So hang in there its not Friday yet!!

Sorry, don't mean to confuse. lol I have homes in both places and I go back and forth. I spend more time in Colorado, but am currently in Georgia. Once I have become a FA, I will have to get a crash pad since I won't be in either one of them, and will have some other decisions to make!!! But one step at a time! :)

Sassie, that is why I have homes in both places!! My newest grandson was born last Christmas Day. I have 5 grandson's there, ages 10 yrs to 3.5 months. I have another 8 yr old grandson in Seattle. NOT A GIRL IN THE BUNCH!! :( I was only 40 when I had my first grandson. You can do the math! Thankfully, they keep me very young. I am told I don't look close to my age, and I definitely don't act it!! Whatever that is supposed to be!!!

I went to Fresno once to deliver a large donation from the company I worked for to a group that helps young people come out of gangs into productive lives. It is an amazing organization and, at the moment, their name is escaping me. Beautiful place, Fresno. It was my return flight from there that taught me to be patient, expect the unexpected, and be prepared for anything when flying. A less than 2 hour flight that turned into a 10 hour challenge.

Wow what a great gift to have 6 grandchildren. We only have 2 a granddaughter in Duluth, MN she is turning 12 in June. My Grandson will be 2 in August. I was only 37 when my Granddaughter was born.
Fresno is not that great a place, but it is my home town. We would move back to COS, but my husband got a really good job.

My son is getting married at Garden of the God September 6th. I agree you could not ask for a prettier place on earth. We really miss it.
My training class starts May 5th. That is if my background and drug test passes. Of course I know my drug test will be good. But I have nightmares about my background check. Nothing illegal or anything, just my references can be hard to contact. I did give them a heads up so I have my fingers crossed.
I still need to get a place to stay. If push comes to shove I'll just get a hotel room.

Dont give up...There, are so many other airlines that are hiring..just, go on line and apply, delta,continental,jetblue. I gues it was the (PINK Shirt)...lol...Im bummed but life goes on...After the airline i wa working shut down on April 3rd. One more punch wont hurt....Will just keep looking for work....godd luck to you all...ADIOS......

Hi Troy and Ceasar,

I just received the email that they are not inviting me to the training and while disappointed I am relieved because I need to be able to move on. Troy and Ceasar you guys are awesome and I tell you that I have interviewed enough for other airlines and received offers for training and some I passed on and others that I did not, put a freeze on the hiring, so don't give up and if I hear of any other opportunities I will definately let you know. So again congrats to all.

I just got back from my drug screening. I also got a call from Megan following up on the verification application stuff. I also got the invite to join Delta's flight academy the end of the month. I'm gracefully declining their offer since I have a very good feeling about Virgin America.

'just found out that my very good friend who's also a registered nurse/Continental flight attendant joined their recruitment team. Maybe I'll tell him about all of you...

I am sorry about those of you who got the emails today. I have been tossing and turning myself! It is great to have so many supportive people out there.

I haven't worked for an airline before, but if you guys and VA is any example I can see why you all want to work in this industry!

I'm very sorry to hear that some of beloved friends here didn't make it, but please don't give up .. please ..please ..please!!!.

I believe that there will be another chance for you guys to be the stars in the sky. You just have to follow your dream and don't lose hope. Within 6 months you can re-apply for the position and time will fly fast.

I am SHOCKED as well and cant believe it... i sent an email to megan and labrina to ask them if they could let me know what they based it on. and to let them know i will re apply in 6 months!!! i hope they will respond! its all i can think about today im mad/sad :(:(

I talked to delta and should be getting a call soon to schedule my face to face in atlanta so who knows...
