malti, just wondering...
do i see like the "combative" type? you met me and we spoke many times on the phone.

just wondering if i'm showing attitude on this forum...

and how DARE YOU ROB for insulting my character when you do not even know me.
as a PI, do you not think that i have to work in a quick and critical thinking enviornment?
your TRUE CHARACTER shown thru and im deeply saddened that i would entertain a conversation with you.

Kiss and make up the two of you. :)

Does either of you know what the name of that bakery is on the circle by the subway in Parkchester?
Outstanding chocolate seven layer cake they have. I think I'll have to take a side trip tomorrow after my interview and pick up a cake. Well, I might need it... if I'm not asked to stay for the afternoon.

Ok..now I have to go to bed...
longggg day tomorrow... and
the weather is horrible.

Goodnight!

I am so not looking forward to it.
But, I'm thinking some may not show
and reschedule.. I think that will
look better for me... because as an FA
weather or no weather.. you must report to your plane. So, Purchase, Ny is my plane...

I think this interview will help me secure the deal with OS... if they end up calling me back. I'll be even more prepared to seal the deal with them.

We are ALL going to work at OS, and we are all going to LOVE each other, Cappice?! LOL....

Hi Naomi,

I sent in my application and heard back about Phase 1 within 24 hours. However, the last date available (at the time of my booking) is February 15th, the date I actually picked...

Wish me luck, guys! Everyone on this forum have been so helpful and supportive (and ego-free with their advice), that I truly hope to be as qualified and wonderful as you guys...

If anyone is interviewing on the 15th and would like to chat, hit me up--if not, I'm the round-faced Asian at the interview....

Who knows, Naomi--they might interview all the way to the end of this month, so keep checking your email for an reply. I put in my application on the 3rd of this month, and I'm interviewing just 12 days later (and I purposely chose the last time and date possible). You might just get your notice next week, get interviewed before the end of the month, find out two weeks after that, and VOILA! we could all be on the plane with David, Natasha, NYC girl, Rob, Malti etc etc etc heading for London in April!

BTW, did u know that they're hiring just 45 for now? So few...

I know...that part scares me a little...

On the other hand, I am going into this interview feeling very confident, having already been offered a position with both Continental and United on my first tries. However, I turned down United because I didn't want to work for a company I didn't admire (it was my first FA interview--just a tester), and I was asked to withdraw my application to Continental AFTER they offered me the job, cos I have a travel restriction (can't go to Israel due to the fact that I am not a US citizen yet--damn my goddamn country of origin).

Even though Continental was truly my dream company, I am truly excited at the opportunity to interview with OS. New airline, no reserve, no Israel on their itinerary--perfect for me!

David: Did you have to fill out:
1. Application
2. DOT Drug test form
3. Not a felon form..
4. Professional reference form
5. Confidentiality agreement PACKET
6. Survival exercise

This is all my paperwork Eos sent me to fill in and bring with me.

The Confidentiality agreement is only if I am hired, I believe. I don't know much about them.. so I am not a risk...I hope. :)
Did you have this paperwork?

Malti,

I apologize- I am just reading the new posts now.(Arizona Time.) I received all the forms you mentioned by e-mail attachment. I filled out the application form and completed the Survival Exercise. The other forms I believe just require a signature so that can be done at the interview. This information is probably moot now as you have most probably already started your interview. I am sorry I did not get on the forum earlier. Please let us know what transpired when you are finished.

Lennylu,

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for sharing your insights and thoughts. In regard to the 45- keep in mind also that according to a fairly recent business artical, Open Skies plans on adding an additional 6 routes by 2009. This looks favorable for growth.

Forgive my butting in, but you've all been so nice to me, and I think I know what's going on. Rob, you and NYCGIRL are under a lot of pressure because of the waiting game, and typed words on a computer screen don't allow you to see one another's body language. You're both right - I live in the south and am used to the greenery, but have stayed in Kew Gardens when my husband had his crash pad up there, and tho it is very different from what we're used to here in the south, it has a lot of character (which the south sometimes tends to not have).

Please, you two - it's Valentines Day - make up and give each other a kiss. I love you both. :) I know that neither of you meant to offend the other. Go ahead - let me see two big kisses on the screen. :)

Hi guys,
Just got back from Newark.
What a crazy day to travel!!!!
Newark had a lot of Snow and we spent 4 hour
in line to deice. Finally made it back to Houston
at 3:00am.
Anyway, OS interview was amazing!!!!
Natasha, NYCgirl, Malti - I made it to the second round!!!!
It was a great experience, the recruiters were very kind
and interested in what you had to say.
They really give you a chance to "get to know" you.
I was very pleased and also if I don't get chosen
I don't regret having gone there!

NAOMI and LENNYLU - The reason that everyone here seems to know each other so well is that we've all been playing this waiting game for about 3 months, having started out on other forums. But please stick with these wonderful OS forum friends - they are the best, and they even let me come on here and hang out with them, and I'm not even an OS candidate. Most of us started out trying to get hired by Delta, and we just spread out after that. And the arguments -well, that's just a result of the stress that everyone has been under trying to figure out who to apply with, am I going to get accepted, what do I do in the meantime, etc. etc. These are great people - lurk no longer. :)

In my interview with OS,
we had a lot of people from other airlines.
I met with people from Continental, Maxjet,
United and the "Atlanta-based legacy Carrier".
(Not worth mentioning that name here) LOL :)
Anyways, we had lots of fun and I was lucky
to get a second interview early in the day so
I could catch my flight back home.
Pay is good and Lead pay is even better.
No interline agreements will be available.
That's a fact (they said it was too expensive)

ANGIE!!!!! Congrats on making it to the second interview! Wow, you had a long day, huh? Home at 3 am.....
Wasn't everybody wonderful there? How many people were interviewing? We had about 16 or 17. And how many people got the second interview, do you know? With only 45 positions to fill at this time, it could get pretty tight. But as long as we remember that we're getting the position, we're good to go! LAW OF ATTRACTION~! Yeaaaaaaaaaaah! :-)

Angie - Congrats on your interview. I esp. liked the comment you made about the ATL-based-legacy-carrier. LOL.
Do you know what's really a shame? I tagged along with my husband on a trip the last 3 days, and the f/a's were very senior, and they were so stinkin' nice. I really have to struggle not to blame everyone for the nasty attitudes of a few rotten apples. My forum friends have really helped me to realize how very unsuitable I was for a Delta job, and how very unsuitable Delta was for me. (But I will happily accept hubby's paycheck from them twice a month when it comes). LOL.

You all are way too sweet.
But I do know that I'm not up to the drama. And after what I've seen from some of these other forum-crashers, I'm over it. Not that any airline is safe from that kind of behavior, but at least the trips will be shorter with Shuttle America, and if somebody that I work with is a stinker, I don't have to be around her (or him) very long.

Thank you RJ!!!
NYCgirl, Yes!!! I wanted to hug them at the end :)
They make you feel so important!!!
On my 2-1 interview we had a chance to
laugh, discuss my career goals, suggest any
changes to the airline industry...lots of ideas!
I felt like I was already part of the team with
ideas and feeling creative! Amazing TEAM.
Natasha- Thank you for all your nice thoughts :)
We were a group of about 25. Only the ones with
airline and hospitality experience made it to 2nd round
I'd say about 15. There were a few exceptions though,
and I saw 2 or 3 persons with no previous airline experience that
made it too.
They said they were giving priority right now to
airline experienced candidates then to the others because
they needed to staff that first flt right away.
They mention they were also recruiting for the Lead FA position
so they needed experience.
I think they were pretty open about it and honest!! :)
