Hi all. This is a great site. Wish I knew about it before. I went to the interview and stayed for the 2 to 1 interview. I did like them but I wasn't that sure about the travel perks. It didn't seem that great. The job itself is ideal for me as I'm in NYC but just don't know that it compares to the other airlines when it comes to being able to trade trips, maximise time off and non rev. Will you all definately take it if you get the offer or are you rethinking? |

David in Chandler, Arizona said: I have seen numerous inquires regarding the new start-up airline 'Open Skies' to be based in the New York area celebrating the new air-services treaty between the United States and the European Union. So, here now is a place to discuss the hiring process and other news relating to this new opportunity. Thank you MY APPLICATION WAS ACCEPTED BUT I AM AHAVING DIFFICULTY FINDING WHERE TO GO ON WEBSITE TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW. PLEASE HELP!! |
|
Rob in Union, Iowa 9 months ago |
Hi Sara--Did you recieve an email from OS yet? The place to shedula your interview will be on your application page when they send it back to you. Be patient. It will come! And Good Luck! Shanaquaw--I think OS will certainly work for me and others who aren't real commuters. Although-travel passes may happen later on but for now--just plan on being in NY!!

ORD FA in Chicago, Illinois said: NATASHA - Islip is on Long Island. Part 121 is just "airlinese" for commercial passenger airline. JBU = Jetblue. We all learned "airlinese" somehow or another....it's a whole other language. ;-) lol Hi Guys as an old hand I would love to interject here.
OS will probably operate under CAP360 which is the British CAA regs. You will all need to bear in mind that this is not a U.S. carrier just based in the U.S.

Where can we get the documentation that says that open skies is a CAP360 carrier and not an FAR Part 121 carrier? |

Do'nt worry too much about it. The rules are just stricter than U.S.

Hi everyone interested in applying/interviewing with OS.
You will also note that it states that this is a British Airways subsidiary. There was a previous question regarding why they would hire just 45 F/As.
There are lots of Airlines out there hiring.
Have a great day. Hang in there and do not loose hope. There is an Airline out there for each one of us.

Funny... no email from Eos. I would have thought for sure I'd have the 'no thanks' email by now. Well, even if it's an offer... I'm not going to accept.

nah... I know.. I was kidding about Rob and Nycgirl. It would be in the 10 pm news if they had met up... as nypd would've been called to the scene.
I'm still interested in OS... just not right now. Not that I think I have a choice... remember.. they didn't call me back in last week... so I think I am out.
I hope someone on here has good news to report!!!!! |

RJ, I don't think MALTI is leaving the airline industry, she's just taking a breather for the spring/summer seasons....After then, OS will be begging her to come onboard! :-) |

My mom has a yorkie and a toy poodle and I wish I could clone one! I guess for the next few years it will still just be me and my 14-year-old cat. She doesn't mind being alone for 3 days at a time as long as she has food, water and her litterbox. |
