I would strongly advise making a reservation in advance... the shuttle fills up fast.... I know, I have used the JFK-EWR shuttle a few times and they always fill up because of flight delays. You'll want a reservation so they hold a spot for you.

Good morning, PILOT! Yes, I'm coming in on the 4th. Arriving around 8-9pm. I found a very reasonable hotel 2-3 miles from the interview site. It's close to 70 bucks, with tax and all. :-) |

MALTI, the Econo-Lodge, is that an okay hotel? I hope so! It sounded fine and the price can't be beat, compared to the close to $200 for the Hilton...

Hi All! I am currently working on my online application for Open Skies. My concern is that my passport is expired (but I will be in possesion of the renewed one in a week or two). Did anyone get an interview after checking "no" to the valid passport question? I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't even bother submitting the app until I get the new passport, but it seems like the sooner I get "in line" for an interview the better. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Thanks in advance for any help with making this decision. |

I got arrested in the state of Wyoming (WORST state to ever get a speeding ticket in) for going 26 mph over the speed limit on a coast to coast road trip (west coast to east coast in 38 hours) and I got arrested and thrown in jail.. appeared in front of a judge the next morning.. served 2 days in jail, paid bail and left.. now I think I got a criminal record.. -__-... is that considered a conviction that I would have to put down or... is that really just a driving infraction? xP... I live in california but also have a place in old bridge new jersey.. I'm on the page where it ask for my education and... yea.. hehe.. Larry |

Ok I have been asked to select an interview date for OS. Gosh that was surprising since I only submitted application last night...Anyway, since they do not pay for travel, and it will cost me over $500 in air fare alone can anyone give me information as to how they pay, whether or not you can commute from ATL, what airlines we can fly on, or any other info which may help me decide whether or not to pay for this trip to lovely Newark... |

RJAtlanta in Atlanta, Georgia said: Hi AWAITING - I posted on the BTDT forum to try to answer a couple of your commuting questions that you asked me earlier. Hope it helps. I also found out for you that British Air is a codeshare partner with American Airlines. That doesn't necessarily mean that OS will share the same benefits, or that employees have flight benefits on that airline, but it's a possibility that may help you out. |
|

Sorry AWAITING - I posted that info on the Republic forum, NOT the BTDT forum. Duh! |

awaiting in alpharetta in Alpharetta, Georgia said: David, Hello, I asked the question regarding OS plans of having any reciprocal agreements with any domestic carriers for commuting and the answer was no. They are based out of the New York area, therefore, my understanding is that as of this time, you would be responsible for any travel to that starting point. Staff travel prvileges start after 6 months for any route that British Airways flys. I do not know as of now if this includes their Codeshare Partners. (American and Qantas) If I can help you with anything else, please let me know. Good fortune to you. |

I also received an email to select an interview date, however i'm going to be out of the country during those times, so I need to reschedule. I live in Manhatatn so this would be no issue to get there. Do I need to bring my college degree and all that fun stuff to the interview? Gotta go get my new suit! |
