been on the run since sunday and need a bit of a brain breather!
malti, natasha and i met up and clicked from the moment we saw each other! they are more than you would have expected! quality woman with intellect and humor. an awesome combo. wish you were there!

i was there for my 10am appt. and didnt leave until 245pm. fabulous people that make you feel human. and THEY ARE HUMAN! very different from the other two FA interviews i had. i cant even compare. they treated each and every one of us with respect. it was a more intimate atmosphere. not a cattle call in the least. very professional and open minded.
the questions were the norm. the difference was they wanted to get to know the real YOU and took the time to do so and gave US the time to allow it.

-and others who may be concerned that O/S is not considering those with no F/A experience. I am speaking from my own experience at the interview and from what was written by the Director of the Airline in terms of what O/S is looking for in a Flight Attendant-you do not have to have F/A experience. I do not have F/A experience, however, I do have many years exposure within Hospitality and Customer Service.

I am certain that F/A experience is favorable, yet they are considering the experience you have overall and how this fits into what you would see as a F/A. This came across in the interview sessions. Please do not discount yourself because of this notion. Have faith- it sounds as if everyone did very well today. Congratulations to all!

Hi, all! It's 11:45 pm, I just now got home!!! ughhhh....Air tran is nice enough but the delays and connections was enough to make me crazy! Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you guys!
Met NYCgirl and MALTI, I loooove them! If nothing else, meeting them was worth the trip! Two wonderful and very very very attractive women, both slim, tall and great personalities.
I'm going to bed but a little recap: I had a wonderful experience with OS, there was only 16 of us, not the throngs that were at DL, it was all handled with a personal touch and elegance. I was interviewed twice, it felt comfortable, but I can't say what the result will be. I don't know. Either way, I'm glad I went, I'm glad I met the girls and I hope we all make it! See you all tomorrow! Goodnight....

You've been up TWO hours already? Yep, I forgot you're an early bird! :-)
Never mind that e-mail, they cheated you out of a fair interview...but truth is, they cheated THEMSELVES out a fantastic FA!!!
So, yesterday was a harrowing ride back home, both flights were late in taking off which got me landed at 10:30pm. Got a snack, took a long shower, posted, and jumped in bed....aaaahhhhhh!
The best part was meeting you girls! It was super fun!
I don't know what's going to happen with OS but whatever it is, I'm okay with it. DL is slow in sending me my dreaded email. Imagine that!

Hi DAVID! Well, as you can see from the previous posts, there's nothing to report with regard to OS. The interview was delightful as you told us it would be. Everyone there was very kind and professional. I, too, did a 45 min interview but I think some gaps in my employment didn't help. So now, the wait begins, right? :-)

MALTI - I thought that I would answer your post over on this forum, since I know that this is where you'll come first these days. :) Yes, I'll be going to Shuttle A. training either the end of March or April - they haven't told me yet. I already have the training packet that a forum friend who is currently in training has sent me, so I'm working on my city codes and announcements.

I can't believe that you took BooBoo to your interview with you. I knew that she was going on the trip, but had no idea that she, too, was applying. LOL. What a gutsy and wonderful thing for you to do. On the same note, my husband retired from the Air Force Reserves this week, and I'm taking "Ben" to the base Friday for his daddy's last flight and hose down. He's so big that he'll probably steal all the attention from his daddy. :)

So it's OS, EOS, or JB for you, then, in that order. I know that you'll get offers on at least one, if not all. I'm so glad that you have your commuting issues covered. I hope that Natasha is able to figure something out as well. You may just find yourself with a little French spitfire roommie!

i was on 2 different antibiotics in the last 2 months and nothing helped so now i need something more. broke the nose back in '84 in college and never did anything about it. so, i have issues

Hello Malti, hello everyone. I just stepped in. I have a 90 year old mother I was visiting in Northern Arizona who recently slipped on some ice and fractured her right leg-not good.

Malti- my application status in phase 2 says "passed" in bold green and "awaiting references."

My invitation letter did not give particulars and asked that I ensure that all the references were correct because they were to be contacted shortly. No training dates given.

Sorry for the delay- I am going back to catch up with previous posts. My Phase 2 showed "Passed" after the interview. I do not have Facebook. I am just learning what it is. I can open an account on Facebook if you would like and am happy to help in any way I can. Let me know.

She said they needed to meet with the people from out of town and with others they felt had more "experience" as they needed to get their staffing issue together ASAP...and time was running out.
The first training class will be in March, in London.

I would like to think they are interested... but, I agree, they have one shot to man that first plane with experienced individuals that can pull off the task of making "the first impression" of OS an outstanding experience for their first passengers.

I have experience.. but.. they have it on-hold right now..lol. :)

Its funny, They send the emails pretty quick. I did get the email to schedule the second interview... that is when the lady told me... it wouldn't be the day I was there, but next week.

Malti- you asked me my opinion on the subject of "does EOS compare.." "and were they as inviting and kind as the staff at Open Skies?" Based purely on my observations and the experience I had at the EOS interview in Rochester- I would say unequivicably- no. The O/S selection Team were professional and warm and gave the applicants the opportunity to present themselves. I do not believe anyone can assess a candidates abilities or potential by observing a 30- 60 second stand-up, cursory self-introduction as did EOS. Again, this was just my experience in that session.

Rob, I do believe they are trying to get the best of the best up there first.
It speaks volumes of the type of company they are. Top of the line!! They are sooo nice and I would love to work for them.

To answer the phase 2 question, it says passed, but don't forget my job references and idle time are not completely accounted for, so that could be a MAJOR problemo!
I am certain, as a witness, that the recruiter wants to speak to you again. As you explained, the out of towners and the actively working FAs were being processed sooner. The only thing is, you'd better hope you don't get your second interview the same day as your EOS interview--YIKES!!! LOL.....Nah, just kidding!
Anyway, we're going to be together at OS, it's coming to us (repeat it) it's coming to us.....:-)

I see why you liked OS, it was a wonderful group of people, with warmth and class. I'm glad I had the interview with them. It gave me a different perspective on the airline hiring process--it actually redeemed the industry, to me. Even if I don't end up with them, it was a wonderful experience. But--law of attraction--I will work with them! ;-)
