ASA

Well you guys and gals I am ready for training according to my sister. She is a manager for Walgreens near MSP. So alot of pilots and FA's go in there. I painted the exterior trim on her house this weekend and she gave me a six month supply of what ever the FA's told her I would need from there, black panty hose included. The darn bag is so heavy I could hardly carry it. So I figure if I don't make it thru training I'll end up in Nashville as a shampoo girl.

Especially since they are supposed to be hooking us up!

Joe did she say that they got all travelers out of the Keys. They will prob stop flights there soon, because of the weather.

where are you in FL. i am from FL and went thru the last five hurricans there

Yea.....that a yes and no answer...My reg work area is a very high senior work area and we don't get as many flights as other areas. So with that said I get GOOD Break time!!!! HEY!!!!However I also work alot of OT. I work 70 hrs a week. Last nite while I was home and she had to leave. I just watched her flight knowing she was near storm central.

I dont think they did...Heres what happened. She was suppose to do a NAP trip.(leave at nite and turn the first flight in the am) when she signed in they told her the hotel that they were to stay at would not accept anyone with the pending storm. They were keeping the hotel availabe for emergency personal and events only. So they found another hotel but they were going to require them to sign a waiver releasing the hotel of any responcibility of harm or safty. So The Co. decided to fly them and the pax down and fly right back to ATL. There were only two pax and one mechanic.

Queenie - You and I both know that pilots do not only want ONE thing. That's an unfair stereotype, that AGAIN, can prove hurtful to peoples' feelings. I have to take exception to that statment, as well. But what do I know - I've only been married to one for 22 years. :)

Hey Bill I had to pull the training material back out. I am going with Pinnacle,
but this time I am going to be based in ATL, so I am working on the Delta Connection side of the memorization.

That is great!!! You have been a FA before right? If you need a crash pad let me know we might have room here. It isnt the hilton but it isn't that bad close to the Marta station. My crash pad roomate wanted me to switch to Pinacle as I would get a line fast and I can't go thru training again. ASA wasn't that tough but there were days that was challenging. It can be a roller coaster. As they told us with some drills you fail you are out the second time that you fail.

CRJ if she or he could read would of saw I said I wasn't complaining. This is my second job I have a business to run so if I sit here in the crash pad and not fly I could care less.

Trish it picks up the IP address of where you are. when I am in ATL it says ATL. Now I am home on some off days and it says VA.

Oh! I had my interview at Mesa Monday Bill. Went well I believe. They were all extremely nice.

Trish that is great about Mesa. I hope you get it. Others have said don't put all your eggs in one basket if someone gives you a offer take it. We know the story I won't get into it but I do hope you get it.

WHY are you interviewing with MESA? From the pilots and f/a's that I have talked to, that is NOT the place to work. They are worried about bankruptcy as that is why they are fighting for the DL flying so bad. Read some of the aircrew forums and some of the pilot forums.

On another note - the probationary period at ASA.... Is that based on DOH (3/4) or date that I graduated (3/25)? My brain stalled and I cant remember!

Queen, We asked that question in training and got two answers. I believe it is the DOH. Kent and Heather ( Heather if you ever read this I do miss u) said the DOH and the Chief FA said the date on the line. I think it is the DOH but don't hold me too it.

I think it's the day you finished IOE's
DOH 4/11 Grad 5/6 probation over 11/11

With alot of airlines, The DOH is the day you complete your IOE.

Yep, but not with ASA. DOH is the date you started training.

My bad..that's cool. So much better that way
