RJ in Atlanta, Georgia said: I've done that twice - once on the Delta forum. There's just no need to get on here and be ugly to one another. All of us have managed to disagree w/ each other at some point and still remain friendly and appropriate. I don't have time for drama. We'll get enough of that once we start working. LOL. Agree 100%!!! RJ, I sent you a message through FACEBOOK! |

Mercedes, I'm so sorry to hear about your horrible experience with DELTA. God Bless you for being so honest, and sharing your experience. If I get the big "REJECT" button, sure hope I'm in as great a group as you were in to get you "OVER IT". You've made me laugh so hard! There's a good airline out there looking for great individuals like you. You'll make it!!!

I have a question....Does anyone have any knowledge of the Public Transportation System in Atlanta? Is it possible to take a public bus to and from the interview from the airport? Did anyone happen to notice any others using a public bus? Anyway to save money...:) Thanks! |

CAMI, someone on this forum said that if you take the airport's Hilton free shuttle, the hotel is right across the street from DL headquarters, you just cross the street--you're there. Hope that helps! :-) |

MERCEDES, I too am sorry you had an unhappy experience at DL. I am also in "limbo land" with waiting--or not--for an offer. At this point, I have my sight set on a different airline so I'm not too obsessed with DL. I suggest you apply at as many airlines as you can, this way you'll have way too many distractions to be saddened by one rejection. |

mercedes in Brooklyn, New York said: A brand new Delta 'reject', I come to all of you with open arms. I got up at the crack of dawn, spent about $90.00 in car services to and from the airport, Mercedes - You're in good company. Don't you worry. They (Delta) are not making choices based on the average criteria. They're going for speakers and 20-somethings primarily, with a few exceptions. There are a lot of complaints being lodged by the current f/a's about the quality of SOME of the new-hires - not all, mind you. Some of the new-hires are amazing people, but the new criteria is not what the current f/a's want to work with. You pick a couple of other airlines - you'll get picked up in no time. |

I have a feeling she's going to be making some crewmates pretty miserable on trips. And I'd hate to be in training with her. She's the type that all the posts have been about when they say "stay out of the drama" during training. There's always one in every class. Tho I don't know that I've ever run across anyone who was quite so insulting to other people. But hey - I'm "cheesy", so what do I know. LOL |

classicbella in Denver, Colorado said: Instead of blaming others for your misfortune at some of these companies, maybe some of you (not all of you) should sit back and think why you didn't get on with some of these companies in the first place. Maybe it's the interviewers who picked up your negative attitudes. These companies don't need Jurassic Park with a bunch of old gals who are old and bitter about everything if they don't get their way. I rest my case and now i'm done. It's sad that someone has to use cursewords about someone else to make themselve feel better. Then on top of that, they are in their fiftys. I'm sure their grandkids don't want to see them act out. Hmmm...this isn't high school and I think some of you graduated like 40 years ago. You can call me what you would like but just know . This is ONLY directed to those who felt like they had to chime in when it wasn't even directed to them in the first place. It's funny because it started when I politely disagreed on something and someone just had to jabba their mouth. Trust me, I will not come back on here because I don't have time.I'm busy. |

I recently came back from a AirTran information session this past monday. It's a good company, the pay is pretty much blah compared to JetBlue in terms of working over your 70 required hours (JetBlue provides time and a half, AirTran doesn't) but its a growing company and shows promise. I'm waiting for the call back Monday, where they told me they would let me know if I was going to make it through the process or not. They were going to interview me that same day but I had a plane to catch and I would have never made it to airport in time if they did. They did let me know that they're setting up for their March class... and they they have about two more scheduled classes after that one. They also said that senority has recently been bumped up from 9 - 12 months to 9 - 18 months. Also senority is not by age. It's by hire date and a random number that they give you. I hope, if I get hired, I get a nice number :P. Also, training is unpaid. You do get a compensation on completion of training -- which makes sense. I doubt I'm getting anything from Delta at the rate things are going now. |

Thank you for responding...yes there is such a big, great wonderful world out there full of opportunity! Looking back on it now - the whole experience was pretty funny. I know British Airways, EOS and United are hiring now, however looking back in retrospect my ears are telling me - "do you really want to put me through hell" (I have bad ears)...

Hi I just wanted to say JetBlue will be hiring soon as we were told today that there will be two classes in March which we were happy to hear as that means we won't be at the bottom seniority wise so they might have it listed on the JB site but I am not sure but it is the beginning of the month. I am so exhausted passed the oral test today and have another one bright and early tomorrow morning we did get to practice our evac drills today which was fun I did mess up on the E190 when I called the capt and told him "we are outta here" instead of letting him know we are evacuating I was so embarressed. |
