I attended Omni open house last year in may,the interview process is smooth, after the introduction section about the company and after you introduce yourself they will let you know if you will recieve an interview, if they select you, you will have 2 1on1 interviews they were very nice, the only thing i didn't like was the long wait for training, they called in nov and i declined was not a good time, took the feb date, so now iam waiting to start training and i am a nervous wreak. |

the next Omni open house is tomorrow morning (1/14) at 8:00am sharp. It is at the Hampton Inn on Bobby Brown Hwy. in college Park. First 70 people admitted and I have been told to expect over a hundred to show so my advice is be there early. I will be there as well. I am thinking about going down tonight and grabbing a cheap hotel because it is $180 at the Hampton Inn. |

I got hired with Omni last year, but ended up turning it down to fly w/ a regional. I have a friend that worked there for 2 years then got a job at CO. She said that it didn't work out for her because she had kids and lived in Houston. Being based in ATL and being in Europe/ Middle East alot was hard for her. On the plus side, she said it was a great way to make ALOT of money, with the callout pay and all. I think it is a job better suited for people w/ out famililes, and who don't mind being out of the coutry for most of the month. Hopefully this helps, remember this is just secondhand knowledge. Good luck and have fun! |

I attended the session in January at the Hampton. The company sounds fabulous as well as who they fly and where they fly! The only downfall is Nicole (If I remember her name correctly LOL she was a most FORGETTABLE person!!!!), the HR lady er I mean, dragon LOL!!!! This is after they make the cut, but before the FTF. She decides IF you get to go to the FTF, her and HER only!! There were quite a few of us "chastised" by her. She prides herself in knowing who IS and IS NOT Omni material ... well hun, if you are so good at your job, why does the overview of Omni include "We have an extremely high turn over,"???? She has been on the job for 5 years, if Omni doesn't realize she is their biggest (no offense hun LOL) detriment, well, they are poking themselves in their own eye. Do not go to the interview if you have had more than TWO jobs in the past 10 years, honest. Do not go if you have had any gap in employment (go ahead, try to convince her you were married with children and the time off was to raise your family NO; cared for terminally ill relative NO; time off to sit home and eat bon bons NO; time off to travel NO NO NO; school? NOOOOOOOO unless you studied what she wanted you to LOL!!!). She ripped me apart then shredded and spat on the remains LOL, and afterward, I found out she did the same to others. This interview is COMPLETELY subjective on her whims. I feel they would have less of a turnover and more of a dedicated crew if she realized the job of an FA is to be FLEXIBLE, SPONTANIOUS, PATIENT ... this is not an attribute of a person who has had one job for xxx years and now all of a sudden wants to be an FA and see the world LOL. Well, it's their loss ... if I find out she is gone, I'll reapply, I would love to work for them. I am completely free to be gone for 3 weeks to 3 months as they mention is the case. If you get past her, you have it made. You're asked a few situational questions and put in the pool. Good luck. |

I am not available to go to the open house for Omni tomorrow, but I did apply on line. I also applied to Delta, ASA & AirTran. Has anyone applied on line to any of these airlines & how long does it takes to hear from them? Also Omni sounds exciting... does anyone work for them or have anything positive to say? thank you! |

For some reason, I thought the process was posted here but it was on one of the Delta sites. FIRST, get there EARLY!! At least 2 hours, no kidding! They limit it to the first 70 and they mean it. I stayed at the Hampton the night before, went downstairs at 6am for breakfast and candidates were already there!! Also, park across the street. Once in the room there's a video overview about the Company with a Q&A after. Next an individual introduction including reading a flight announcement. Then you have a break and come back to see if you're on the list to go further. If you're on the list, you sign up for interviews and fill out the application COMPLETELY!! Any omissions and you're out ... but of course at the whim of Nicole, if she thinks she likes you, she will let you come back next interview, if not, you're out for a year. If the application is complete to her satisfaction, she will go over EVERY word and EVERY second of your life for the past 10 years. This is why I posted earlier, about not having more than 2 jobs in 10 years, she just doesn't get it. She has no mercy, she is brutal and will chastise you, I am not kidding nor exaggerating! If you pass the Nicole interrogation, you will get the FTF. If you pass the FTF, you will be invited to training and placed in the Flight Attendant pool until you are assigned a class date. The FTF was the regular customer service questions and scenarios. It seems to me, if you pass Nicole, you have the job. The things to know before you go: They want you to commit 100% to this company, so if you have family/pets/whatever you don't want to be away from for 3 weeks to 3 months AT A TIME, don't bother going. It's a great company (except for Nicole), great travel opportunities, and just plain great life experience. I was the perfect candidate, except for having 7 jobs over the past 10 years ... and I'm 27, so that began at 17!!! Otherwise, I had no ties to keep me from flying anywhere and everywhere. |

I passed the F2F interview process with Nichol and have been put in the "pool". I got an email today stating that I need to come be fingerprinted and drug tested, and then I will be considered for the April or May training class. I wonder what the liklihood of me getting in that soon will be? I just went to the open house last week... |

Pilot in Sanford, Florida said: Melissa, Thank you! It was my first open house and I was so excited to be invited to training! I've had several jobs as well as periods of unemployment and it didn't seem to bother Nichol...however, if you make it past the first "cut," then the next step is to fill out the application. Nichol goes over the application step-by-step with exactly what you're supposed to do, and there were several people who still messed up. (For instance, you have to put on there every job and period of unemployment or school with no breaks and they have to be in a certain order, etc.) Also, you have to sign the application in about 3 or 4 places, and if you miss one she'll dismiss you. If you don't mess anything up on the application, then she goes into a few standard interview questions (Such as "Why Omni?") and sends you to the next set of people who will ask you some more questions. These questions are more circumstantial, like "How would you handle an unruly passenger?" Once you make it past them and if they like you, then you'll be invited to training. Just don't get too nervous, follow directions, and be outgoing and you'll be fine! Good luck and let us know how it goes! |

Hi Pilot The ASA interview is very straight forward, they start you off in a conference room with the other appliciants and give a quick overview of the FA position and a bit about ASA then everyone is asked to go to the front of the room and tell a bit about themselves and why they want to be a FA. The recruitment team leaves and returns with a list of names that they place on the front board of canidates that have made it to the next round. Next everyone has to go in the front of the room and read boarding announcements then another cut is made. The remainder canidates then have their F2F. If you are extended an offer they will have you fill out paperwork and have your fingerprins done there on site then send you off to the clinic for a physical and agility test. They are all very nice and I was extended an offer the same day and am due to begin training on 3/17. From what I hear, they are a great companhy to work for, quickly growing so you are not on reserve for long. |

Omni lets you know the same day if you're invited to training or not. They won't tell you the exact training date you'll have, but they called me yesterday and said mine would be April 1, so it's not too long of a wait. |
