When date did you two have your F2F? I'm curious because I had mine of the 4th and still haven't gotten a class date. I'm sooo anxious to get started.

Mine was on the 7th. I don't have a class date either :(. USIS is done with my background check and have "sent it on to the next step". I don't know what that next step is but I hope I get that call soon!!!

When I called Shea this afternoon she said that my background check was just completed last night. My F2F was on 2/6. I bet you'll hear something very soon! Best, C

My F2F was 2/5 7:30. I actually called USIS this morning and they said that everything had been completed and sent back to Delta so I called PS and they gave me my training date. Three of the other people that were with me haven't received their dates either. I bet everyone gets calls tomorrow or the next day.

I am so excited to see our class filling up! I think that this will be a fun day of meeting lots of classmates. How about sharing a little bit about ourselves? (Be careful not to share anything terribly private, this is a public forum.)

I am in my mid 30's, married/no kids, no 2nd language, was an interior designer/furniture buyer prior to accepting this gig. I only wish we were starting training tomorrow!

Hey Christi nice to meet you. I'm 33, divorced, 3 children, no 2nd language and I have been an account executive throughout my career. So so excited to have a change in lifestyle, have ALWAYS wanted to be a FA but was never the right time. Can't wait to meet all of you guys and get this ball rolling.

Hey everyone since we are doing intros... late 20's, always thought this job would be a wonderful experience, speak a second language, and I was/am a semi employed attorney.

Anyone have any idea as to where we might be staying whether we will be in the dorms or a hotel ( what rumors you heard). i know they have probably discussed this on other class forums but just thought I would check to see if anyone had info first hand? I know we will eventually find out but I would love to know sooner

Hey Daniela! I think we're friends on facebook already! I'm with you on the suspense front, I'm carrying the phone around the house with me and answering it "quick draw" every time it rings. At least I know the background check is done with USIS. My personal references were never called though, how about the rest of you? ANYWAY...I don't know if I'm in the march 11th class yet, so if I find out I am, I'll do a little intro :).

Good to meet you SMRF, & everyone else too! I haven't heard anything (even rumors) re where we'll stay. I'm hoping for a hotel (comp b'fast, maybe a gym & internet). From what I've gathered we will not know until 03/11! Best, C

I'm melissa from ny in my early 30's..have a boyfriend..no 2nd language. we are the class of just english speakers ; ) thats what the guy told me today when he called.....i had asked if there was room in the march 4th class but that is for other languages and our class the 11th for english speaking fa's. cant wait to meet everyone!!!!

I believe orientation is on Mon the 10th and that is when we get our room assignments. If I'm not mistaken you can opt to arrive on Sun and they will put you in a hotel for that night. If this is the case then I was going to drive up sometime on Sun. When were you planning on getting there.

I raided my local Sam's Club for snacks, diet cokes, soups, breakfast foods, etc. I've gathered up laundry supplies, clorox wipes, etc. I'm trying to think of what I'll need & getting it in advance to that I won't have to run out for anything during training...to give myself the time I might need for sleep or studying! It's been yrs since I took a class & I am nervous that my study skills have slipped!

I have family in Birmingham, so I'm going to stop overnight to visit them. I hope to arrive in Atlanta on 3/10 morning. I'm going to catch up with some college gal pals over lunch & then head over to our hotel, what ever one that may be! I'd love to gather everyone up for dinner that evening. What are your plans? Morning Nalu - Very important question! ;-) I'm brining the black shoes I'll wear as a F/A. From what I've read on the forums we'll get dress code info a wk or so prior to training. I'm going to use that info & buy the shoes I'll wear w/ my uniform so that they are broken in. Besides those, I'm brining flip flops (pool training??) & tennis shoes (will I really ever go to the gym!). What are you brining? Best, C

Goodmorning everyone, Christi is right Delta doesn't provide any meals but we will be reimbursed up to $500 while in training.

Nalu, I was wondering the same thing because I've read on other forums about the minimum height requirements for shoes but I was wondering if there was a "too" high or maximum restriction on heels. Does anyone happen to know?

Hey Dani, No I haven't gotten anyhting yet, I'm constantly checking my email though. My drive is about 6 hours so I was going to leave around 9 or 10 am which would put me there between 2:30-3:30.

I have to get all that stuff when I get there cause I only have a two seater car and it's going to be hell trying to fit 6 weeks worth of clothes in it. (not to mention shoes)I have a girlfriend that lives in ATL so I'm going to stay with her maybe Sunday night and check into the hotel or dorm Monday. What time is orientation on Monday? I might not be able to get together for dinner Sun night but FOR SURE Monday night. I made some flash cards with the airport codes on them. It's been a while since I went to college so I'm a bit rusty as well :)

I'm buying a new pair of black heels that I'll break in at training and wear when I fly. Also a pair of black flats. Then, I'll bring some fun shoes for running errands and going out. Also, a pair of sneakers for working out.
