Hi, my name's Amanda Hipolito. I'm currently a sophomore at Kapolei High School. I'm taking a japanese language class and our assignment for our quarter-project is to create a manual based upon jobs of different industries. The job i chose to research was a Flight Attendant. The japanese twist to this project was to find out helpful phrases or words that flight attendants needed to know or learned to become better at their job. We need 4 interviews as a group to meet the minimum requirement and 5 to exceed. Requirements of the interview include Name, contact info, (such as phone numbers, email etc. just in-case verification is needed) or business cards.
1. What are your basic responsibilities as a Flight Attendant? 2. Are there any special tasks you've had to do as a Flight Attendant? 3. What would you consider the average pay of a flight attendant to be? 4. For about how many hours do you have off when on a long flight? 5. How often do you come in contact with a passenger who's first language is not English? How were you, or any other staff working with you, able to communicate with them? 6. How often have you come across a japanese passengers? Were you able to assist them in whatever they needed? 7. What do you like most about being a flight attendant? 8. What do you like least about being a flight attendant? 9. Did you have to receive any special training? 10. And last, do you have an suggestions or tips when working with tourists? Please email me the questions and answers if possible.
Thank you for taking time to do this interview. It means a lot to me because I've seen this career as one for myself one day.

HI Amanda. You might also try www.flightattendants.org
I believe they may have a small fee, but there are more active FA's on that site compared with this one. I would answer your questions but I am not a FA currently. |

Hope you get some replies. The other site, if you get desperate, is the one where you'd find most of these answers from current FA's. Or perhaps you could go to the airport? Sounds silly but might work. Good luck! |
