Hello, my name is Natasha ("Vlada" would be my online alias.) and I am currently taking a Japanese Language class. For our quarter project our class must research different job industries and create a worker's manual. I chose the position of an Airline Ticket Agent.

In order to meet the standards for the project, each group is required to interview 3-5 different people. My sensei also requires the name, contact information (an e-mail address, business card, etc.) and a copy of the the interview; to make sure the information provided is legitimate. If I could have someone answer these questions, it would really help me understand more of what the nature of being an Airline Ticket Agent. I hope you wouldn't mind me asking all these questions.

Also, if this sounds similar to an earlier post asking for an interview with a Flight Attendant, it is because we are in the same group/class. I saw this worked very well for Amanda, and here I am also trying my luck at this. 8]

1. What are the basic responsibilities of being an Airline Ticket Agent?
2. Did you receive any special training before becoming an Airline Ticket Agent?
3. Do you have any knowledge of another language? If so, does it help in your line of work?
4. How often do you come across someone who's first language is not English? How do you communicate with them?
5. How often do you come across Japanese people? Were you able to communicate with/assist them?
6. Do you receive any special benefits from the Airline company you work with?
7. About how many hours do you work a week?
8. What would you consider the average pay of an Airline Ticket Agent?
9. What do you like most about your job? What do you dislike about your job?
10. Lastly, what advice would you give for someone considering becoming an Airline Ticket Agent?

I would like the answers through email, but if not, then simply replying to my topic is fine.
Thank you very much!!
