Heartbroken....I am completely heartbroken.

Yesterday, I was upset all day after I got the call from Marlies. First the emotional rollercoaster with Delta and now this.

I love JetBlue even more for caring enough to give us a call instead of an e-mail, but I'm still really upset at this roadblock.

I'm glad that they are at least keeping the Spanish-speakers. My friend Joaquin from Boston will be with you guys. He's really cool and I know you all will have an awesome time at training.

Hopefully I'll be joining you all sometime in the near future.

It really hurt us ALLL!! even the ones that are going. We will be thinking about you and the class won't be the same without you guys!! we had many ups and downs in here at least we know where we can get some support!! wish there was a way to bring you all on board!! we shall keep in touch as well and airtish keep looking out there maybe we will have some new financial news breakthrough or something of a sorts to start up again.

AirTish, I am so sorry! I went through this same thing with United. It is heartbreaking! I hope this fuel thing settles down soon, because it is hurting everyone in so many ways. It is so out of control. Best of luck to you and all the others that have had their hearts broken in this way. My heart hurts for you.

Will miss meeting you all, but will catch up when JB starts classes again. In the meantime we all need to write letters to our congressman as this fuel crisis is only going to get worse. Not trying to sound gloom and doom, however we are too dependent on the middle east for our fuel.
So many industries will be hurt by this...transportation, trucking, food, etc. I live in California, I am for drilling on the oil rich coast and in finding alternative fuel sources.
Let's try and get the government involved!

Last time it starting spiking, and not nearly this much, senate called the oil execs in to give accounting and came back down again. I haven't heard a peep out of this senate about it, and Bush is a lame duck prez with no power to do anything at this point. He can't be reelected again, but the Senate can. They need to start paying attention, so should Congress. Maybe we need another Boston Tea Party!!! McCain suggested removing Federal gas taxes until it comes under control, but haven't heard any response from Senate or Congress. (not a McCain supporter, but he is the only one I have heard address it, could be wrong, have been before, will be again!)

Let's help the industry we all want to work for and write our senators now. Great point SFDenver and Shanster. We need everyone to get involved.

You are so right. To me oil and gas are public utilities, just like water, natural gas and electricity because our entire economy, unfortunately, is based on it. They can't just turn a blind eye to it. I told my husband we should buy an electric car, even if expensive, just to tell the oil companies we won't be controled by them at least to the extent we can. If lots of people did it, maybe they will listen, who knows! Sorry, I will get off my soapbox now. lol I just know so many people hurting because of it, and it makes me hurt, too. :(

What the general public should do is buy food for one week and then stay home. Don't drive or buy gas for one week. To go to work.. use mass transit and flip the bird to the gas station when you pass by... on a bus or a train. =)

Gas here is $3.69. Outrageous.

Just sent an email to Senators Boxer & Feinstein. Feel free to add to it, change it. Please everyone start bombarding the Senate.

I am appealing to you to use your influence and help resolve the oil crisis. It is evident that this crisis is impacting not only individual citizens but also businesses. The last 2 weeks 4 airlines have gone out of business due to the rising fuel costs. The remaining US carriers need government assistance now. Let's not let another airline go out of business. I beg you to become proactive before it is too late. These increased costs are hurting everyone, and we know the costs of industry will eventually be passed to the consumer.
Unfortunately for me, I was scheduled to start an airline career the end of this month and received notification that the training classes have been put on indefinate hold due to the rising costs of fuel. Needless to say, I must now begin my job search again.
I don't understand why the price at the pump continues to rise when the oil companies are having the highest profits they have ever had? All companies deserve to make a profit, however crippling industries and individuals that "NEED" their product should be a crime.
We need to stop being dependent upon the middle east, start drilling off our coast, and find alternative fuel sources that Americans can afford. The time is now, we need congress to react to this situation. It is too late for congress to be proactive.
Please let me know what you are doing to combat this situation?

Note - I went to Vegas for a couple days. Gas price in Orange County for regular $3.87, in a little town called Baker $4.69 a gallon. What a rip off.

I wonder where the highest priced gas is right now? SFO must be pretty high because its an expensive place to begin with. Anyone know what gas is priced at in SFO?

people who are going to training, what supplies are you bringing with you..ie: laptop,notebooks that sort of thing

In the packet it said to bring pens, high lighters or colored pens to study, index cards. I also had a few legal tablets to take notes.

I was in Oakland two weeks ago and it was 4 bucks a gallon, it was $3.89 in Bakersfield when I was home this week and diesel was $4.50.
