Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming flight attendant interview? Are there common interview questions that come up again and again? |

Host said: Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming flight attendant interview?Well as far as my experience i have had an interview at an airl;ine company and it was kinda open house day so the interviewer just asked me about my occupation and the reason i've applied for that company.that's all and asked mne to wait for a furthur call to fix another interview and they never asked so far LOL.So if anyone knows anything about that could plz send me on my mail like what r the basics to get hired cos i've always been dreamin of bein a flight attendant.Thank u |

I see... well me its my dream job too to be in the air to fulfill my dreams so that's why I'm going to apply but I'm scared because they might expect something from me that I don't have.. So tell me what happen on your first interview? what did they ask you? |
|
Shamoun in Cairo, Egypt 17 months ago |
Alright sure sky high, it' my pleasure to help anyone as long as i could, anyway yes my interview was kinda weird u know it wasn't like exactly interview no it was just like open house day like there were alot of applicants there just to hand over the resumes because they had asked us to bring our resumes and 2 recent formal attire photos.Anyway i went there and i waited for my turn and when my turn came i applied. The interviewer asked me about my current occupation, then scanned my resume then looked at me then she said thank u.That all.to be honest it wasn't 100% interview cos the had told us to expect a call from them for another interview and they never called me so far.All i am tryin to tell u sky high is this, do not feel afraid or scared of anything just be yourself and be confident, that's all i could advice u at the first interview cos it's all about them not about u.They decide LOL.That's my e mail address anyway if u wanna contact me it's okay, i would like to discuss everything about this job with poeople who r interested [Edited by Host] Contact info deleted Please do not post Contact info in the forums.

andrew, Thanks so much! I tried with CAL 5times! On the 4th time I made it to the final panel interview where they did not accept me. I am starting to believe something is not right with their hiring process. You would hve thought i would have gotten it.

Hey Andrew, I have an interview with Compass at the end of the month. Can you tell me how they go about it? Group interview, one on one? Some of the questions they ask? Is it laid back, or uptight? Sorry for the million questions. I really would love to work for them, i love the fact that they are just starting out this year, and are doing pretty well. Jessica |

Hi, Be Happy and always smile. Please stress your customer service skills and abilities. Always put customers first and be extra positive. tell them this is passion for you and a career for you...not just a job. If relocation and salary comes up, tell them no problem, there is no challenges whatsoever. Good luck!!!! p.s: try to dress as much like them as possible. This will give them a first ipmression as you being a FA alrdy!! I did just that a week ago and was employed by Continental. See ya...let me know |

i had gotten hired to work for republic airways. They are pretty tough and not so organized i got my packet in the mail to study the questions just 2 or 3 days before i was leaving just know be prepared for hard work and lots of studying best advice its good to make friends but its best to keep to your self that way you can be able to study... instead of parting. also how it goes with the company you get a chance if you fail a test to take it again, but you better pass or you'll get sent home. Word of advice when they ask you what company you would rather work for go with republic there are 3 copmanys Chataqua,Republic,Shuttle america. I wasnt so lucky i got chataqua we had test every day and had a few hrs to study once we got to our rooms to be at school the next morning to get a 100 question test the next morning....yes they have test everyday unlike republic who have it every other day and one more thing study your anouncements your tested the first day....the interview process is pretty much flat out they let you know when you walk in about the company and the benefits if this is a job for you. Then you take a quick break and then its a one on one interview they only ask you a few questions. By the way make sure your in buisness attire and arrive early and ask lots of questions they'll see your more intrested....im currently not with republic airways it was a 3 week training i made to the end of the week since i wasnt told about test and had a little bit of time to study. also make sure you are in compliance or they give you demerits like make sure you have your mag light, and a black wrist watch good luck |

I attended an open house for Compass Airlines on October 18th in Minneapolis and had a one-on-one interview. I really feel the interview went well and was told that I would hear something back from them by mail within a week. It's been 2 weeks now and still nothing. Has anybody else gone through the hiring process with Compass? I even called their HR Dept and they told me that I just need to wait it out. Very frusterating considering the interview went so well. Just looking for any input. |

David in Chicago, Illinois said: I have an interview with republic airways. Does anyone know if its in a group or individually?? What kind of questions to expect?? Any tips Please? For Republic Airways, first you're in a group with all the interviewees and they show you a couple of videos and tell you all about the company, benefits, etc. Everyone tells the groups why they are there. Then you go into a one-on-one interview. They will ask if you meet the requirements, a couple of behavioral-type questions, and ask you to read a flight attendant announcement. Be sure to dress in a business suit. Good luck! |

If you have ever applied to an airline before, and have NOT been hired, READ THIS! I was a Flight Attendant Recruiter for a major airline for a short time, also a FA for 7 years. There are many things that we must SEE and HEAR to be considered as a prospective flight attendant. We do look at the "Entire Package" that YOU are presenting. From the moment you walk into your interview and exit the facility. Here are some GREAT TIPS to success in your interview process.
BTW- Most airlines, again, most airlines, (not every airline) USUALLY let you know on the spot if you have been hired. Often times we will say, "Can you excuse me for just a moment", and bring back your offer of acceptance. |

Bonjour! I noticed that you were recently hired by Continental. I am interviewing with them in a few weeks and I am very much hoping begin my career with them. Can you provide me with any helpful tips for applying for this airline? I do alot of traveling and have been on multiple airlines and Continental is by far my favorite, which is why I would LOVE to work for them. There is nothing like being in the air! It would be great to hear from you. Thanks so much! |

I have had two telephone interviews and was told that I have past the assessment. I was asked what airport I would want to fly out of for the interview but dont want to make the assumption that it is a definite ' YES'. I was told I would hear from someone in 2 weeks - I do not speak any other language but have 27 years of customer service experience. Any thoughts on next steps? Thank you in advance for any information you can share. |
