Sounds like a cheap investment opportunity. Stock rates are too economical to afford! |

Baltia plans to start its flight operations in end 2008 actually, as the only USairline connecting directly two of the world's most prominent cities - New York and St. Petersburg. |

Before I worked at JFK I had known the CEO of this company and his plans of buying an aircraft. I had written a Flight Attendant manual for him, and met with the head of flight ops as well as the vice president. Its a legit company as they already own offices in JFK and have made plans with Japan AIrlines to purchase a 747-300.As of a few months ago they were still in the manual writing stage. The idea for the company is great. Imagine a 747 with an upstairs lounge dedicated to first and biz class pax, just like TWA and PAn Am. Right now the fuel cost is the killer. The manuals will be approved, and flight attendants will be hired along with all the other necessary positions. I'll keep this thread updated. |

Can you imagine working that route, you would be flying mostly Russian population back and forth. I am sorry to say but majority of them don't have any class and they are rude and demanding. I have met very few of them that are nice and polite, but most of them treat us like "what the hell do you know you stupid americans". No way.... |

Does anyone have any idea if this is really going to happen. I have been an investor in this for 2 years only to see the stock price sink. It would be great to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. |

Yes it will start up, I cannot tell the specifics but there were more investors that invested ALOT in this venture and they want to see their money put to work. The aircraft has been purchased and is Sitting in Japan in storage. It will remain there until interiors have been purchased and all of the FAA manuals have been reviewed. Experience is not needed to compose an operational/procedural reference. It must cover all pints specified by the FAA/DOT/and TSA.Baltia is still in the phase of reviewing and creating manuals for themselves, many manuals are needed, de-icing, ground ops, cargo handling, hazmat, service recovery, sales, procurement...its alot and only 5 people writing all of them and then revising them when the FAA finds an incorrectly dotted 'i' so,stay tuned. |

I just received a call back from Baltia Investor Relations. He said they are still waiting on the FAA to approve some documentation [operating manuals] that were submitted two months ago. The manuals were approved, but are now just waiting signatures. |

They have purchased a 747-300 from JAL. That's interesting as the 300 series has never been and still is not certified to fly in the USA. The original design of this model provided too much spacing ( feet ) inbetween the emergency exits. This did not meet US government (FAA) standards. That is why the aircraft is only flown by foreign carriers. Maybe a typo was made about the series of the aircraft ? |

It is my understanding the plan is to renovate in inside to meet US standard, three class + cargo configuration |

A Sr FA in CMH in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 39 months ago |
And what is their selling point to make them last? It sounds like another Eos/Maxjet/Silverjet to me. Even North American dropped their scheduled service to those random cities. |
|
Mr. Moo, in Rancho Santa Fe, California 39 months ago |
The selling point is cargo. The already have commitments for 100% of available cargo space in the hold from fright shippers. 40% full is making money for them. But the way things are in the world right now not even that might be do able. |

I have invested in this stock and have been following the companys activities very closely. They claim to launch this summer but they have made many similar claims in the past. They are very close to being able to put a plane in the air, they just need to rennovate the interiors of their plane(s). |

Company is having finding one they can afford, in fact they are currently looking at a "hull" (no engines...trashed interior) that has been sitting in the desert to fix up. They are trying to find something affordable. The aircraft is what is holding up the entire process as they cannot finish their manuals for the FAA until they get an airplane. After the manuals are done it will still be 3-6 months for the FAA to get back to the company. |

While experience is not required, it is certainly needed. The manuals must be reviewed by the FAA C-SET team and it must mee the ATOS criteria. This team of FAA officialw will number approximate 20-25 official from all over the US. The current manuals are not yet ready for official submission and will not be until approximately 1-2 months after an aircraft is acquires as the must be aircraft type specific in many areas. |

If anyone from Baltia staff reads this, you need to dump that tacky cartoon-like "rooster" logo. A rooster is NOT a symbol of punctuality. Americans only associate a rooster with a barnyard and I'm sure that's not the image you want to convey. You would do better to come up with a design using the spires and domes of the famous churches and palaces such as St. Catherine's or the Kremlin. And you need ELEGANT crew uniforms. Also, a 747 might not be the way to go. The 747 is PIG and is expensive to operate. An A340 or extended range 767 might be the better option. |

its all about price, A JAL maintained aircraft is in essence a "NEW" aircraft it will have all the new bells and whistles and meticulously maintained and at 6 mill a copy u would never be able to get a 76ER or 340 for that price. |
|
Truthseeker1 in Brooklyn, New York 34 months ago |
Yes but they are not purchasing such an airplane. They are going to buy a junk hull that has been sitting in the desert for 5 years for a couple of hundred thousand, send it to the cheapest overhaul facility they can find where it will be looked at with eyes wide shut. |

Well, at $.03 a share, they should have plenty of investors knocking at the door, however Baltia's dream of starting an airline has been around since 1991. At least they haven't given up hope. Niche markets are the way to make money in this business and they seem to have a good business plan especially if they can use the plane for charter work on the days it's not flying to St. Petersburg. Some of the investors feel that Baltia execs are either stalling or squandering the money and they are not happy because they want to see a plane in the sky. The good news is they have been given frequency allocation and they do indeed have office space at JFK, but where is the plane? No one seems to know. |
|
Truthseeker1 in Brooklyn, New York 34 months ago |
They are not Squandering the money...but they are not spending it smart. The CEO is very frugal and passionate and not taking a salary or anything like that. The problem is that this is his dream, but he has no aviation background and does not know the culture. As for the business plan; there is none. There is the "dream" and what he wants to achieve, but there are no timelines, no contracts, no anything "business" related other than sales pitches and "commercials". I am not bashing, His dream is real and the potential is great, he just does not know how to get there and refuses to admit it or let those he has around him direct him. He has surrounded himself with some great talent that has great background, but he does not listen to them when they advise him; he consider himself an "expert". So many business have failed by those self diluding themselves. He is now going to try to buy the hull of the aircraft discussed before and advertise it to the FAA (and investors) as "Aircraft" which implies engines, interior etc. Surely he must realize the FAA has a databank with the aircraft serial number and they will be looking it up. It will tell condition and dispositon of the airframe and he will lose credibility with the only agency that can make or break him |

It would be nice if someone from Baltia responded with the status. Or at least sent out updates to the stockholders once in a while. We can speculate all we want. It is my understanding that they have an aircraft (from JAL) and are trying to raise funds to renovate the inside to match the 3 class white glove service they want to offer. staffmember in Providence, North Carolina said: heard a lease was signed for an airplane this week and it wasnt the shell from the desert |
|
Truthseeker1 in Brooklyn, New York 34 months ago |
No there is no JAL aircraft purchased at this time. They have now purchased the hull in the desert so they are going to be able to say they have and "aircraft". This is not technically a lie...but it is not exactly the truth. They have sent out a letter of intent to a 3rd party in hopes of also getting a nice, flying, JAL aircraft, but it is no secret that they cannot afford it. They are hoping that when they make the press release next week that the investors will be told they have an "aircraft" and will invest more. At this time they do not even have the money to resurrect the aircraft in the desert. It will cost several million to make that aircraft flyable. |

Baltia announced a letter of intent to purchase a 747 from an outside source. By your stock now and become an investor! It fluctuates between 3 and 4 cents a share! If it goes to a dime, you have more than doubled your money! Remember, they need your money to become successful and it will pay off handsomely. A $510 investment at 3 cents will yield you 17,000 shares! |

WOW!!!! That's all I can say about this company. It sounds like a couple guys with a dream are having their dream come true. It also sounds like a GREAT investment opportunity. I'm buying 27,000 shares of this company tomorrow unless I hear something bad about it. Is it true that they have 100% of all the freight contracts in the country? Is it true that they will be the ONLY non-stop service to all of these countries and will be offering white glove service? Incredible.. Once in a lifetime investment opportunity it sounds like. |

Ah ha! I was correct. Someone has already replied to that article about the ridiculousness of the rooster logo. It absolutely has to go, Baltia! |
|
Adam H in Glendale, Arizona 33 months ago |
yes, but it now has something that it never had before...........a 747. They have made it clear that the financing is already in place for the 747 by putting in their final agreement to buy the plane. All of the other bells and whistles have already been completed (i.e. manuals sent in for approval, FAA certification, etc...). Now they are just going through one more process and in the air they'll be. And you all will be very mad when you don't have 20,000+ shares of baltia, making $200/penny increase. DOH!!! |

The Rooster represents something. This is a direct quote from Baltia.com : Baltia Rooster The rooster is our symbol of reliability. Dating back to Roman times, a rooster was universally recognized as a symbol of punctuality and dependability. For these same qualities, Baltia’s founder chose the rooster to represent our new airline. Throughout American history, the rooster has been an icon, particularly in New York. On the bright, sunny day of May 24th, 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was officially opened in New York, and the first person to cross the bridge carried a live rooster as a sign of victory and accomplishment. She was Emily Roebling, the wife of famed civil engineer Washington Roebling who supervised construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. Emily was so instrumental in her husband’s work she was given the honor of traversing the bridge first from Brooklyn to Manhattan. As she rode across in horse-drawn carriage with the rooster in her arms, all the men who had been working on the bridge raised their hats in triumph and cheered the historic moment. But there’s more to our rooster story. In European folklore, a golden rooster is also a good luck charm. Just look skyward. Ever vigilant and watching over all, the rooster sits atop many spires and buildings in New York City as well as on church towers throughout Europe. You can also see the revered image on countless weather vanes of homes all over the countryside. One of the largest and most grand rooster effigies in the world is the golden rooster perched atop the spire of St. Peter’s Church in Riga, Latvia. The church was once the tallest building in Europe before the Eiffel Tower was erected. Over 360 feet up in the air, the golden rooster is the size of a horse. |
