DELTA INTERVIEW PROCESS

Hello all, I have a question, I had gotten all the way to where I was gonna schedule a date for my F2F , but i had an accident and fractured my wrist, I never got back but I'm still fully interested in going to an interview. I was wondering does anyone know if I call are they still interviewing? Will they still give me an oppurtunity? I hope so!

I have heard though, of some people who lied or didn't disclose certain things about their background and it wasn't discovered until midway through training and they were let go. The employment verification, at least for me, happened within two days of the call offering me a spot in training.

However, I think the ENTIRE background check takes a little bit longer.

Was the employer they were trying to reach a RECENT employer? just wondering b/c there were a few places i worked a LONG time ago that have probably since changed their numbers, gone out of business, etc.

I see many folks here got their FTF so i hope someone has some information about the process or has a similar situation .

I had my first phone interview 01/27/08
and heared nothing untill late April , April 29th i got my FTF interview
we were just 8 persons .. 4 males and 4 females which surprised me alot , i thought we will be much more than that number .
anyway to make a long story short all 8 of us had our interviews and every one thought he/she did just fine BUT afterall we were taken to the first room where we started and told thank you so much for your time and concern and we know that you understand that sometimes we can't give a job on the spot , but we will contact you if we need you .
all of us have been sent back home and since then i heared nothing from them .. and unfortunately i haven't got anyone's phone number to see if any of them heared something .
any explanation for that .. any one has a similar situation ?

I passed the first two phone interviews on May 1. I haven't received the phone call for the next step. I was told to be patient, but with everything going on, I am not sure I will get a phone call anytime soon. Anyone know exactly what is going on with Delta?

I had the first phone interviews on May too. I was told congratulation and ask me what the airport you prefer to fly untill now i haven't hear anything back yet.I really have no idea but I will not give up and i will be patient. good luck everyone. I LOVE Delta

Hi, My experience was as follows: Filled out went online Aug 14 ,filled out assesment, then it said to call in, so I did. The person said congrats you passed the assesment. Then she ask me where I would like to fly out of? I told her, and she said that someone would contact me by phone or email. Have you heard back from Delta yet? Just curious?

I applied on line and got a call two weeks later from the recruiting office. I called the recruiting office back and she asked me if I could do a phone interview. The interview was conducted and she said normally we would set up an appointment for an interview but unfortunately there is no appointment times available. We will be calling you back for an appointment. Does this mean that I failed the interview?

It doesn't sound like you failed. Delta is a great company to work for from what i've heard. I had all those phone interviews and assessments.. I didn't pass the final interview when they interviewed me in Atlanta last year. The interview was very competitive, and they mostly hired people who spoke foreign languages other than Spanish.

If you haven't heard anything in 3 days, sure, I say call them. They have been overwhelmed with over 50,000 applicants thus far; somebody's bound to fall throught the cracks. I wore a very conservative navy blue suit, white shirt, and my red, white and blue Tommy Hilfiger "Power Tie"! lol; freshly polished black shoes. My hair was very neatly cut; and my finger nails were nicely manicured (no clear polish)...lol! My teeth white, fresh breath, clear skin, and a "go-get-'em" smile! And a positive and friendly attitude to Top it all off! I did nothing that was soooooo Great; I just went in prepared and determined to leave with a offer to become a Delta Flight Attendant.

If you continue to be sort of "silently" still not completed, yet there are several different departments that may wish to speak to you. First, this is a positive sign. Aviation carriers have commonly done some odd sort of "experiements" with the Pilots for years. I also was put through tests with my Delta interview. I am a Canadian , yet also speak french, your physical presentation is one of the most important, observed, and a major issue with Delta. other carriers do not place as much importance on the physical, yet always go to any f/a interview or any casting call, or even if you are having to enter the head offices of the airline, never appear there without your grooming and outfit professional, as a female, accent your attractive female unique character yet in a modest, with no inclination of either casual, or , this is trick in 2009 as in my years, the most fashions were of the makeover of the 1950's with the Ralph Lauren or more east coast prep uniform school( elegant,yet not catholic school short shirt . Also, your poise, hight/weight is considered, yet I do believe Delta was the final North American carrier to finally inspect your true weight and inform you of how high is not permitted. I was 115 lbs and was informed my max was 122lb! There were a couple other questions that I do not believe are permitted today, however, that being said, they can find subtle, unsuspecting ways to find out. It is just during my career that the old days of a f/a flying until marriage or 30 are gone, but now there are many girls who have been a f/a for their careers, and depending uppn several factors, they will be more subjected to injury than many other careers. Unknow to me I have 80 yr old bones in my 42 year old body. It is possibly a result of various factorsm but i tried to alwaysmore.

i applied for a couple of position like 2 weeks ago i didnt get any call and when i called them they just say application under review.

Hey guys I just applied 2 nights ago for a CSR position in NC & havnt heard anything yet. How long does it typically take for them to get in touch with you? Is it by phone or email? I'm just trying to find out some info before contacting them

You have to call the below they will ask some questions and set you

I called them a day later at the number above and spoke with someone who said that my app & resume have been recieved but is under review and that someone will contact me (doesn't know a time frame) by phone or email for the next step.
In the meantime what happens now? I asked how many people they need and they said until the position is filled so Idk what to think. If anyone is going to a f2f interview could you ask for me please & let me know what they say.

When I called they askd some questions and set me up for a F2F
maybe they don't have the people to give the interviews. Job hunting in the 21st cntry sux & complicated, automated and

I CALL DELTA EVERYDAY AND STILL NO F2F INTERVIEW. DOES ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT THE BASE PAY FOR A CABIN CLEANER AND A GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC?

I want to be a flight attendant but have no clue how to approach this...I just graduated from high school May 2009 and I am now attending community college. Where do I go from here?

So I filed my online application for a flight attendant position and filled out the online questionnaire. It told me in the instructions to call this number for an interview after I filled out the online application which I did. I sat on the phone for almost an hour, twice w/out confirmation that I was on hold or a representative would be with me shortly. I will try again tomorrow but does this experience sound familiar to anyone else? I just want to make sure I wasn't mistaken about calling. I haven't been able to find call center hours listed for the number. Thanks for any impute!

I had to hang up after 45 min and try the number again. Then I waited for another hour and still did not get anyone. I will also try tomorrow. Good Luck Aileron. Lets see what happens

When i did my app i did not get a questionnaire was that befor u submit your resume

Ok so they called me. I was told 5pm my time 7pm their time. They called at 7pm my time. They apologized. Anyway, interview went well and I was told I made it to the next round.I asked what exactly is the process because everyone is saying something different. She said everyone is different depending on how they score. She told me congrats I made it through the next round and a senior recruiter will call me. That will be my third phone interview. She said it could be just a few days or weeks. She said not to be discouraged because I have made it. Sooooooooo we wait. She also they are no longer doing the app online because it shut their system down. So, if you make it to ATL you will do app there. Good luck everyone!!

That's awesome! So glad it went well and thanks for the info. You made me feel less discouraged since you were told you passed but a recruiter would call you. I was told the same thing. Interviewer had me on hold, typed a bunch of stuff in the end and said he was forwarding my file to the hiring manager and they would call me. Hoping that means the same thing, that I'm off to the next phase. : )

Did anyone else not get the number at the end of the assessment??? Im nervous/excited, but it seems everybodys process is different. Any info would help

Hey Dennis, my name is Brien, I live in SF and I got the same response. I called Delta recruiting yesterday and he told me that I will be contacted just dont know when. They will not forget about me, is what he told me as well. Hope that helps.

of opportunities especially for bilinguals.
I'm definitely going to call the 877# and find out
as much info as possible.
Anyone have any ideas on what they mean by language fluency
or ability? business, native, basic, conversational level?...

i am confused...i filled out the initial questions abou r u eligeble to work and do u have a passport etc etc. I attached my resume too. I did not get any emails saying i made it thus far...is there another assesment?..and do they email u to take it?..how does that work?

So they are still hiring and contacting applicants since their most recent hiring date of 8/24/2010? Is it a good idea to call the number if they haven't called you yet, and show interest? Who has already had their F2F interview?

I was hired for delta in 2008, and I passed the Italian speaker test. The tests for language are difficult, and sometimes even native speakers fail because the things they ask you (over the phone btw) are not all related to the job. they also cover politics, world issues, etc to test your fluency. the test is 12 questions. if you answer all 12 to the satisfaction of the evaluator(who will be a native speaker), you are qualified with 10 years in that language, if you miss one, it goes down to 4 years. If you miss 2, you certify for 2 years. you cannot miss more than that to pass. you can retest 3 months later if you fail, however when I took the test our employment was pending until we passed. a lot of people try to use rosetta stone and stuff, but i wouldn't recommend doing something like that as any more than a review. you have to be pretty solid with foreign languages. better to get hired as a regular flight attendant and test later if you still want to.

Kay in Orlando: I have several friends who are flight attendants with DELTA (native speakers) who speak fluent german, italian, spanish, etc, and said the exact same thing. They all say that the language tests are very difficult even being a native speaker. This is a concern for me, since i'm not a native speaker. If a candidate does not pass the language test, will DELTA not hire me as a speaker? I'm starting to think maybe I should have applied as a non-speaker just in case. I definately speak conversational, and I passed my language test at my last airline, however, the language test was only airline scenario questions. It was not difficult at all. Delta is still hiring and will continue to hire into next year.

FA Nurse and Kay, one of my friends who could barely speak Spanish passed...so weird. Maybe it just has to do with the person conducting the test? Sheesh, I was translating things for him and I don't feel comfortable to converse with confidence. I was literally wide eyed and opened mouth when he asked me how to say something at one point. LOL

hi everyone, I have completed the online assessment, and recieved the congrats, and continued on to the application, completed that but no number listed to call, I am also worried, excited and confused all at the same time. I really want to be apart of delta, I moved to atlanta,ga last year just so I can be closer and also go to school. how long does it take for them to change the status of your application. it has been maybe two weeks. i was acutally refered by a mother that her daughter works as a flight attendent. can anyone give me more understanding so I can at least calm myself down. or at least get my mind at ease.
