DELTA's April 22 Class

Is anyone out there signed up for the april 22 F/A training class. I just got the class date offered to me today.

Yes i am as i asked her if they had another training date that i could attend and she told me it was best that i take this class so i did. Are you taking this class also?

Yes, this is the date they gave me to start, but I have been reading so many reviews about the academy and the career that I am becoming a bit hesitant. I will have to decide this week. What do you know about it?

Welcome!!! I'm in the J class and we graduate on Wednesday. (we just took our final and Hands On today...yes, on a Sunday) If I can answer any questions for you, I'll be glad too....

Can I ask you though, how much can one expect to make a month? How do they choose the city to place you in and how does the scheduling work? I know they are a bunch of ????, but I would really appreciate anything.

Josh, Yes i recieved all the emails today from peoplescout for training as well. I look forward to seeing you in training. Also did you see how busy we are going to be..lol cant wait!

How long did it take to recive the training email, I just got off the phone with the Scout people and they informed me I would be getting an email with in the next three weeks with the Status.
We where told in ATL by a FA that if you did not recive the No THANK YOU email with in three days you where all right, and then again told the same thing from a gate agent.
So Im goingto hold out hope and never give up on my dream.

Congrats - Josh, Richard and CB! I am starting training that day too. I am driving down from Virginia so I have my car with me. I got the 4 emails today with all the info we need to know. Did you get yours today? I was getting anxious with all the waiting. I can't decide whether to pack everything that I might need or just stick with the basics. I hate the thought of being away from home for 6 weeks straight without any comforts from home. I wonder if there are refrigerators availabel since they said we can't take coolers into the dorm rooms. It would be nice to have somewhere to keep some yogurt & drinks and stuff.
Have ya'll had your drug screen and fingerprinting done yet? They said in an email to me that they would do it the day before training when I got down there, but I have't gotten any more info on that. Anyway - looking forward to meeting ya'll. Take Care!! See you Tuesday!

Like I told everyone on here i interviewed on jan 11 and heard nothing for 12 weeks! And now these last two weeks have been filled with information from being called and offered the job, the drug test, the background check, and now finally my class date wit my training packet. My advise would be to just wait and see but in the mean time keep looking at other airlines becuase you never know.

Robin - Because I live in the Atlanta area I went for the drug screening and fingerprinting already. They have an office in the employment center for both. It took no more than 15 minutes to do everything. Very easy and painless :)

CB - Looks like we will be swamped for the coming weeks. I really look forward to the challenge! I got the 4 emails yesterday....did you see all those airport codes!!

Anyway - I look forward to meeting everyone next week!

Congrats on your graduation! That's awesome! I have a few questions that I am hoping you can answer:
Do they have workout facilities that we have access to?
Is there a refrigerator for us to put some yogurt or other food in? How about a microwave oven?
What are the usual class hours - I know it's about a 10 hour day, but starting and ending at what time?
I know they said business casual for class, what exactly does that mean for women?

Well guys they have me flying out tomorrow morning to ATL! Atleast i will have a day to get stuff together in ATL before training. I look forward to seeing all of you on tuesday.
