Natasha Smith in W. Palm Beach, Florida said: RJ, after reading your last post, I'm seriously thinking that World might be a fabulous alternative for me. Everything you wrote about the upside of working with World ....works for me!!!! I'm glad that you're considering it, Natasha. Why don't you keep an eye on World's website. It won't work for me, as I don't want to be gone for 2-3 weeks at a time, but if you think that NYCGIRL and MALTI are up for that kind of schedule, it would be a blast for you guys. I know one thing - you'd see more exotic places than you would with any other airline. If I didn't have les animaux, it would be a possibility for me, but they are the most important thing in my life (oh yea, and hubby). :) |

Hello everyone! I haven't even had time to glance at the forum for a week!! (lesson plans, evaluations, and canning, oh my!!) It sure has been a busy place!! Size 9, btw--But I'll squeeze into a 6-1/2 if necessary! Also, quick question on the World Airways--does anyone know if their training is paid? Hope everyone is having a Marvelous Monday!! |

You guys should all try for World it would be alot of fun and get to meet alot of people, I have a friend who worked for them loved to travel on the military charters and ended up marrying a military man. |

Just a FYI: World is owned by Matlin Patterson, who also owned ATA Airlines and shut them down last April; do your homework before interviewing. |

TITA - Tell us about Monaco!! What is the shopping like? What have you been doing? MARY - I didn't know that, but isn't their CEO Hollis Harris, who was previously with Delta? |

They also had the VP of Inflight who used to be the VP of Inflight at Delta when Leo Mullin was the CEO of Delta but she retired from Delta and then she did some other Business and went back to the industry starting as VP of inflight at World Airways and earlier this year she retired from World Airways and I think retired from the Airline industry all together. |

Dear Sweet Rodney - What would I do without you? :) You're a wealth of information and encouragement. You'd think that I'd be a little more informed, esp. being here in ATL, but I've been too busy dealing with Porter's agent since he won the Academy Awards. LOL. |

Looks like we've all gravitated back over to the Delta forum, since all of the "mean" people have left. Maybe we'll just let this forum rest for a while until the next round of interviews leaves it's casualties. |

MARIA - You may find more answers to your questions over on the other Delta forum. Those of us who started this one (forum) have moved over to the other for the time being. |

BradLee in Columbia, South Carolina said: Which one - there is one in all caps "DELTA INTERVIEWS"; what other? Thanks. DELTA FLIGHT ATTENDANT INTERVIEWS. It's the same people who were formerly on this forum. Those of us who were denied by Delta previously (thus, THIS forum) have reapplied and are supporting each other on the other forum. Once the interviews resume and people are again denied (which I hope doesn't happen, but inevitably it does, considering the small percentage of applicants that Delta actually chooses) this forum will probably pick up again. But until then, please come over to the other one. Everyone is very nice, and we have some current Delta f/a's who provide us with good info on what's going on with the company. |

JETSetter in Chicago, Illinois said: Hey RJ have you hear more info about World hiring ??? No word yet? JETSETTER - I've not heard anything more about World, but I somehow have a feeling that things will be changing after the first of the year for a lot of airlines. If I do hear anything, I'll be sure to let everyone know. I've not done much searching lately. I'm just kind of waiting with the rest of you. :) |
