carlos in Miami, Florida said: Can you be kind and explain to me what exactly is the f2f interview? Im still in shock that they called me lol Sure! This is my understanding of the process. First half of the day is fingerprinting and fun group activities. Second half of the day are the f2f interviews. |

carlos in Miami, Florida said: Likewise I also applied in october!!! Wear a suit! It's an absolute must. You will have lots of competition. I went impecably clean with a nice skirt suit, and now i'm leaving for training next week. Good luck. Smile. and let me give you a peace of advice: be happy, and never ever look tired. Be yourself and that will take you further than most. |

Hello in New York, New York said: Hi, hope all is well I have been tracking your posting since before you went to training, thank you so much for all the heads up... regarding part-time, I am aware you can bid twice a year for it, and I know its all seniority based but what are the chances of getting awarded part time as a reserve and abot how many days do you end oup flying to meet the minimum of 35 hours a month. Everyone who bid part time was awarded it this past year so it seems to be no problem. You will either work 9 or 10 days a month if a reserve, depending upon whether it is a 30 or 31 day month. I have been awarded part time lines some months, though, which has been very nice - averaging 6 to 8 work days. That all depends upon the bid award for the month and how many trips may be available after senior bids have been awarded. |

Greetings Friends! Will like to wish you all a happy St. Valentine's Day, full of love and chocolate. I'm one of those going to class in exactly one month, March 14th. Anyone here also going? For those of you who recently applied, let me tell you it will take at least 3 weeks to a month.before they call you, maybe more. I applied Oct 24 and after the automated email didn't receive any mews from JB until December 15, almost 2 months later, other folks that applied in Oct. are just getting call now. Patient is a virtue, this take time, I wil said is a 6 months process from applying to going to training but it's all worth it. Best of luck! |

Im confused as if our class will be 05-12 or 04-12. I know a class started on January 4, another the 18 and I know the one on February 22. If there was no inflight class schedule between the January 18 one and the February 22, then we will be the 4th class! I'm expecting the pre-arrival training package this week! Hope to meet you soon!!!! |

I'm Nervous I have never been thru a process like this, they had mentioned a march class or a april class pending everything else clears which it will. I have never been thru so many steps for a job, the last time I took a drug test was in the military and the sgt. made me so nervous standing right in front of me that it took me forever to give my sample from him staring so much LOL. eventually I did but it was so nerve wracking and embarrassing.

Hello Geogiapeaches, in terms of drug test I have never heard of them doing anything else than urine test. There maybe others but so far I have never heard of the use of needles. Anonymus in Maryland and Anonymus in Florida, so happy to know 2 more people going to class and to confirm we are Class 04-12! So, I know I will be arriving early on March 13 since the airport I will be leaving from is just one flight a day to MCO and is very early in the AM. If you want to email me and get to talk before training I created an email for this pourpose. Email is futureinflight@yahoo.com |

travelbug in New York, New York said: Does anyone know if being on unemployment in the past will hinder qualifying during the background check?? Hi there been with JetBlue just about a year now. When I applied I was on unemployment. It didn't hinder me from getting hired. As for the person asking about the drug test urine sample, they also sometimes do the blow test for blood alochol levels. They will also do it at training possibly once and it's always random. Just like it is on the line. You can come off a trip, be showing up for airport standby and drug and alcohol grabs you for testing. I know people who haven't been tested once and people like myself who already been tested 3 times in 10 months. You can never be to careful. Don't eat any poppy seeds or really anything the morning of your blue review or drug test and drink plenty of water the night and day of just in case. Also, I repeat get into a study group day 1 or u might not make it through training. Yes you can be kicked out for low knowledge check scores, bad attitude, drowsiness..etc. remember training is "work" it isn't school they are testing you by making you get up at 5am and keeping you as late as 6pm. Remember you're among the few who get this far. Make sure you really really want it and you're going to be as Blue as u can be;) other than that can't wait 2 see u on the line;) |

Being drug tested three times in a year doesn't sound too random to me. Some claim it's not as random as they claim. Who knows! |

thank the lord! I just had my phone interview with a guy named David. He was very pleasant. I applied on Feb 6th, he told me that I answered my questions very well and that I could come for a Blue review interview. I also asked when he thought the next training was, and he told me that the classes they are looking to fill are April 25th or May 16th. So, for me personally that May one is perfect. I know I have to get through the interview first and the background checks. I do take prescription medication for arthritis does anyone know if that will show up in the drug test or if they won't hire me if I'm on prescription medications? Thanks for the help friends. My name is Wilbur and I'm very excited at 49 years old to be a candidate. |

I just wanted to know what to pack Make sure you pack enough business casual, I brought enough clothes cause you have off every sunday to do laundry in the hotel and stuff. When you get there they will have a weekly shuttle to Walmart for food shopping. Make sure if you can you bring enough snacks down. You will have a few 10 min breaks within the day but food really helps you get through all the long note taking and studying you will be doing. Other than that bring a bathing suit for the pool or jacuzzi at night:) Have fun can't wait to see you on the line:) |

BAD ATTITUDES WILL GET YOU NO WHERE AT JETBLUE BUT OUT THE DOOR!!!! I have read more than enough posts with people resenting the company because they got the dreaded TBNT letter. If you want the job you need to bleed blue at your interview it's as simple as that. I've been with the company 6 months now. I can tell you at least 20 ppl from my class so far have been fired or quit. If you don't know what you're getting into you better do your homework. This job has random hours where you will be sitting for 12 hours a day hoping for a call to work. You will be tested with all kinds of people and you need to stay positive the whole time. Supervisors and other senior line holders look for the weak so they can report you after a pairing and have you fired. If your on your first 6 months of probation after training you can start seeking other employment. I repeat you have to have alot of Blue Juice...that means be eager, happy and have a POSITIVE ATTITUDE! hugs to all those on the way! |
